
Apple has officially announced that the pre-orders for the iPhone 5 has crossed 2 million, 24 hours after the pre-orders began on September 14th. Apple spokesperson said yesterday that the company was blown away by the response to the iPhone 5. Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 last week that packs in a larger 4-inch display and a A6 chip. It also comes with an improved 8MP auto focus camera and an 1.2 MP front-facing camera with 720p HD video. GoCarz partners with Airtel to offer free in-cab Internet

GoCarz, Radio Taxi Service in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) has entered into a deal with Airtel to offer free Wi-Fi for the passengers travelling in their Cabs. This would let the customers stay in touch with their work and friends on their mobile phone or laptops while travelling. TRAI asks operators not to charge a premium for voice calls, SMS on Blackout days

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued directions to Telecom service providers regarding charges for Voice calls and SMS on blackout days. Usually service providers does not allow concessional voice calls and SMS under any plan or package. TRAI has already said that the blackout days should not exceed 5 in a calendar year. Now, they have asked the service providers no to charges extra more than the tariff plan in which the consumer is enrolled. Samsung Galaxy Chat now available in India for Rs. 8499

Samsung Galaxy Chat (B5330) is now available in India from online retailer Saholic. It was announced in July and packs in a 3.0-inch (240×320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and has a full QWERTY keyboard. It is powered by a 850 MHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 2MP camera at the back and also lets you launch the camera and directly from the lock screen. Samsung Galaxy S3 price drops to Rs. 34900

Samsung Galaxy S3 has got a price cut in India, and is available for Rs. 34900 from select online retailers in India. TheGalaxy S3 was launched in India in May for a MRP of Rs. 43,180, and the Garnet Red version went on sale last week for a MOP of Rs. 37,500. The Galaxy S3 price is now on-par with the HTC One X . Apple iPhone 5 Prices Compared across the World

Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 few hours back, and announced that it would go one sale in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK on Friday, September 21. While they have only released the contract pricing for the US, they have announced the contract-free pricing for other countries. We decided to do a comparison of the price of the iPhone 5 in Canada, France, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK and convert them to Indian Rupees INR. It would go on sale in 22 more countries on September 28 and is expected in 100 countries with 240 carriers by December 2012. So, India might get the iPhone before that. Sistema to acquire Aircel for $3 billion

Sistema, Russia’s largest investment company is all set to acquire a controlling stake in Aircel Communications for around $3 billion (~Rs. 16,500 crore) according to a report from The Economic Times. MediaTek MT6577 1GHz dual-core processor to power Spice Stellar Horizon and Micromax A90

Semiconductor manufacturer MediaTek has announced that the Spice Stellar Horizon (Mi-500) and the Micromax A90 would come with a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor. The Micromax A90 Superfone Pixel was originally launched in India last month for Rs. 12990, and we reviewed it recently. It had a MediaTek MT6575 single-core processor instead of a dual-core processor, as it was announced during the launch. The Spice Stellar Horizon (Mi-500) that was launched in June at Rs. 11,999 was expected to come with a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but it was delayed for several months.Now it is confirmed that it would come with a MediaTek MT6577 processor instead. Apple iPhone 5 with 4 inch display announced, Ships on 21st September
Apple has finally announced the iPhone 5, successor of the iPhone 4S. It has a larger 4-inch display with 16:9 aspect ratio, that varies from earlier iPhones. It packs in a Apple A6 Processor and a better graphic engine.

The back of the phone has been redesigned with dual tone aluminum while the front retains the glass as seen on the iPhone 4S. The phone is much thinner at just 7.6 mm. It weighs only 122 grams.It runs on iOS 6 and comes with 4G LTE support. It has an improved battery that offers 10 hours of 4G talktime and 8 hours of 3G talktime.
