The Micromax A91 Ninja, a new dual SIM Android smartphone is now on sale from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera and a 0.3 MP (VGA) front-facing camera. This has a TFT LCD display instead of Super AMOLED display in the A90S that was launched last year, but the display resolution and that battery are slightly better. Most of the features are similar to the Karbonn A12 that was launched earlier this year. Nokia Lumia 520 available at retail stores starting from April 6th for Rs. 10499

Nokia India has announced that the Lumia 520 would go on sale from retail stores across India starting from tomorrow, April 6th 2013 for Rs. 10,499. It went up on pre order last week and went on sale online earlier this week. Nokia already announced at the Lumia 520 launch event last month that the phone would come with 1 GB of free 3G data from Reliance per month for 2 months. Now they have announced the phone would come with unlimited access to Facebook and WhatsApp for two months for new and existing Reliance Comm (GSM) subscribers. HTC Desire Q with 4.0-inch display, 1 GHz processor announced

HTC has announced the Desire Q, a new Android smartphone in Taiwan. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processo and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Sense UI on top. It has a 5 MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash and comes with Beats audio support. HTC unveiled the Desire P, a mid-range Android smartphone in Taiwan earlier this week. The design of the phone looks more like the Desire X, but the features are similar to the Desire U that was launched in Taiwan earlier this year. BlackBerry 10 R-Series QWERTY phone image surface

New image of the R-Series QWERTY budget BlackBerry 10 phone has surfaced online. The keyboard looks similar to the one on the Facebook Phone HTC ChaCha. We have already seen the BlackBerry L-Series phone, the BlackBerry Z10 and the N-Series phone, the BlackBerry Q10.  It is code-named Rainier and is expected to be released in the R-Series later this year. Evernote has updated their Hello app for iPhone to version 2.1 that brings lot of new features including a Passcode lock for premium users, Flash control that would let you scann glossy cards easier and lots more new features. Evernote introduced option to scan business cards, a premium feature in the previous version of Hello app with 2 months of free usage as a promotion. Now they have increased the free usage for one more month, after that it would be available only for premium users. LG has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Optimus 4X HD (P880) in Europe. The Optimus 4X HD was announced last February at MWC 2012 and launched in India last July. The LG Optimus L9 (P760) got the update in Europe last week. It was announced last August and launched in India last December. HTC and Facebook has partnered for the HTC First, the first phone to feature Facebook Home, an Android Launcher with Cover feed that offers photos and updates from your newsfeed, Notifications, Chat Heads, App Launcher to launch Facebook apps and also comes pre-loaded with Instagram. The HTC First has a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It would run on 4G network in the U.S. with AT&T, France with Orange, and EE in the UK. LG Optimus L3 II Dual and Optimus L7 II Dual

LG Optimus L3 II Dual (E435) and the Optimus L7 II Dual (P715) are now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. These phones were priced on the official LG India website yesterday. The LG Optimus L3 II Dual has a 3.2-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. The Optimus L7 II Dual has a 4.3-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. Both these run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and have dual SIM support with a dedicated SIM switch button. LG unveiled theOptimus L Series II devices at the MWC 2013 in February.

Nokia 105 affordable phone launching in India in April for Rs. 1200

Nokia 105, the company’s most affordable entry-level phone with a color screen would launch in India later this month, according to a recent report from Hindu Business Line. The Nokia 105 was announced at the MWC 2013 back in February. It has a 1.45-inch (128 x 128 pixels) 65k Colour TFT Display, has FM Radio support and comes with Nokia Life in select markets.  This phone is based on Nokia’s Series 30 platform similar to the Nokia 100 and 101 affordable entry-level phones that were launched in India last year. It would offer up to 12.5 hours of talk time and up to 35 days of standby. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Trend 2 (SCH-I739) and the dual SIM variant, the Galaxy Trend 2 Duos (GT-S7572) in China along with the Galaxy Win. Samsung has also announced the Galaxy Grand Duos (GT-I9082)in China, that we reviewed recently. These look like souped up versions of the Galaxy S Duos. These have a 4.0-inch (480 x  800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). These have a 3-megapixel rear camera.

PhotoCal with Event, is a new application for iPhone and iPad that arrange and view your photos more efficiently, while keeping you up to date on your events. It lets you arrange your images in chronological order and displays them on your monthly calendar view along with all of your upcoming appointments and errands. This app would be much useful to view photos based on a date, since it arranges the images according to the date they were taken and displays them on your monthly calendar view, instead of searching for a picture in the default camera roll. BlackBerry to shut down BBM Music in June

BlackBerry has started sending emails for BBM Music subscribers that BBM Music would be discontinued as of June 2, 2013. BBM Music is BlackBerry’s own cloud-based music service in partnership with several music giants Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI. BlackBerry Music was anounced back in August 2011, and it was launched it widely in the US, Canada, and Australia later in November 2011 after several closed beta trials. Rovio has announced that Angry Birds Friends would be available soon for Android, iPhone and iPad. Angry Birds Friends was released on Facebook last year. It has new weekly tournaments that would let you win bronze, silver and gold crown on the levels, play new weekly levels and earn power-ups through tournament mode. There are also daily rewards and option to send and receive gifts of power-ups with your friends. You can also share details about your accomplishments with friends. Chrome for Android updated with password and autofill sync

Google Chrome for Android Autofill and Password Sync

Chrome for Android has been updated to version 26 that brings the password and autofill Sync that was available in the Chrome Beta for Android last month. The Password sync would let you sync passwords easily, and the auto fill option lets you fill out forms quickly on a small screen. The new experimental data compression feature from the beta version is also available for the this stable version of Chrome for Android.
