Apple just announced the iPad Air 2, the second generation iPad Air at an event. It has an improved 9.7-inch Retina display with anti-reflective coating on the glass, reducing reflections by 56%, powered by Apple A8X, a new chip that is based on 2nd generation 64-bit architecture. It has 3 billion transistors compared to 1 billion on the A7. The CPU is 12 times faster than the first iPad and the GPU is 180 times faster.  It has M8 co-processor, similar to iPhone 6.

At the Apple event today, Apple SVP of Software Craig Federighi announced that iOS 8.1 update would roll out for iOS devices soon. This would bring Apple Pay for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, public beta of iCloud Photo Library that will automatically syncs all your photos and videos in iCloud and keeps only the lightweight versions for viewing for each device. It has a 13.3-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) WQHD IPS Display, powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 Processor (up to 1.86 GHz) and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has four modes – Hold, Stand, Tilt or Hang and even has an integrated projector that can project content up to 50-inches. It features a powerful 8W JBL sound system with bass subwoofer located on the back. After teasing the launch, Jumbo Electronics, IT telecom and consumer electronics retailer and distributor in the UAE, has partnered with Flipkart, to launch YotaPhone, a dual-screen smartphone manufactured by Yota Devices in India. It has 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD capacitive multi touch main screen and a 4.3-inch (360×640 pixels) E-Ink rear screen. Samsung SDI introduces Rollable, Flexible batteries for wearables

Few months back Samsung SDI introduced curved batteries for wearables, now it has introduced rollable and bendable batteries for wearables at the InterBattery Technology Exhibition in the COEX Convention Center, Seoul. It says that it is the world’s first flexible battery beyond curved and bendable ones. The one showcased is 20 x 3.6 mm in diameter with 10mAh capacity. Compared to cylindrical cells these rollable batteries are 1/80 times smaller in volume, says the company.
