Huawei launched the Honor Holly budget smartphone in India recently. We brought you the photo gallery and the battery test results of the smartphone last week, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Honor Holly is powered a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with four ARM Cortex A7 CPUs clocked at 1.3GHz per core and has Mali 400 GPU. It has a 5-inch HD display, comes with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Emotion UI on top. MHL develops Alternate Mode for USB Type-C connector

 

MHL Alt Mode for USB Type C Cable

MHL introduced MHL 3.0 with support for 4K last year. Now it has introduced an MHL Alternate Mode (Alt Mode) for the USB Type-C specification. Now a USB Type-C reversible connector can support the MHL 3 specification, which includes 4K video, ability to control your phone using the TV remote, and lossless surround sound audio. Mobile devices with USB Type-C MHL Alt Mode can also connect to HDMI legacy displays using adapters that support MHL-to-HDMI protocol conversion.

Google Nexus 6 now available for pre-order from Flipkart starting from Rs. 43999, goes on sale early December

Google Nexus 6 made by Motorola is finally available for pre-order in India from Flipkart. It is priced at Rs. 43,999 for the 32GB variant and the 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 48,999. It comes in Midnight Blue and Cloud White colors and would ship early December. It first appeared on Google Play Store in India along with the price tag. The Nexus 6 has a 5.96-inch Quad HD screen, powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). YotaPhone 2 launch event set for December 3 in London

Yota Devices announced the YotaPhone 2 back in February at the MWC. The first generation YotaPhone was launched in December 2013 at an event in Russia and was launched in India recently. This year the launch event for the YotaPhone 2 is set for December 3rd in London. It will be an invitation-only event, says YotaPhone. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat).

Sony Corporation has announced new IMX230 1/2.4″ 21MP Exmor RS stacked CMOS camera sensor for smartphones. It has onboard image plane phase detection AF signal processing function, it promises the best focus tracking of fast-moving subjects and the High Dynamic Range (HDR) function enable you to capture both backgrounds and subjects clearly even in high-contrast scenes such as backlit locations. Google Nexus 6 could go on sale in India on Flipkart as soon as tomorrow

Flipkart started teasing the launch of Google Nexus 6 smartphone earlier this month. Now the online retailer has a dedicated landing page for the Nexus 6 that shows 1 Day to go for the Nexus 6. On its social channels it just says The Nexus 6 is coming your way soon.  It doesn’t specifically say that it will go on sale tomorrow, so this could even be a teaser for pre-booking. Asus Zenfone 5 Lite with 5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz Intel Z2520 processor launched in Philippines

Asus unveiled the Zenfone series of smartphone earlier this year at the CES and launched them in India few months back. Now the Taiwanese manufacturer has launched the Zenfone 5 Lite (A502CG), a cheaper variant of the Zenfone 5 in Philippines. This has a 5-inch qHD screen with Soda-lime glass screen protection and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 SoC, compared to the 5-inch HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor, but has the same design as the Zenfone 5. Dell has officially launched the new Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 (3000 series) tablets running Android 4.4 (KitKat) with voice calling capabilities in India. These were announced back in June and went on sale through official Dell website in India last month. The Venue 7 has a 7-inch HD (1280×800) display, powered by a dual-core Intel Atom (Z3460) processor, while the Venue 8 comes with a 8 inch full-HD (1920×1200) display and a dual-core Intel Atom (Z3480). Samsung announced the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 smartphones with unibody full metal build last month. At that time the company did not reveal any details regarding its dual SIM variant, but it confirmed that the smartphones would roll out in China in November. Now the dual SIM variant of the Galaxy A5 (SM-A5000) has surfaced on the official Samsung China website, which hints that the Galaxy A5 might go on sale in China before the A3.
