Corning Incorporated just announced the Gorilla Glass 4, the company’s fourth generation Gorilla Glass and the successor of the most popular Gorilla Glass 3 present on 3 billion devices. The Gorilla Glass 4 is thin and light as previous versions, but has been formulated to deliver drastically improved damage resistance allowing improved in-field performance and is two times tougher than any competitive cover glass design now in the market, says the company. Qualcomm Gobi 9×45 LTE Multimode Modem announced, offers download speed of up to 450Mbps

Qualcomm has announced its new Gobi 9×45 fifth-generation Category 10 LTE cellular multimode modem that supports global Carrier Aggregation (CA) for download speeds of up to 450 Mbps, upload speeds of up to 100Mbps, and CA across the TDD and FDD spectrum, compared to 300Mbps download speeds in the 9×25, 9×30 and 9×35 Gobi modems. It is based on the second-generation 20nm technology node and supports up to 60 MHz 3x CA in the downlink and up to 40 MHz 2x CA in the uplink. Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro Benchmarks

Lenovo launched the Vibe Z2 Pro smartphone in India back in September . We reviewed the smartphone recently, here are the benchmarks of the Vibe Z2 Pro. It is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 801 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.46 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 578 MHz. It has a 6-inch ( 2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display  and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS with Vibe 2.0 UI on  top.  Several flagship smartphones have a Snapdragon 801 SoC, but very few smartphones feature a Quad HD display. Let’s check out the performance in a range of synthetic benchmark tests.

UberGO cheaper version of UberX launched in India

UberGo

Uber has launched UberGO, a low-cost Uber service cheaper than the UberX in India. Uber entered India last year with its UberBLACK service and launched its UberX service back in June. The base fare for UberGO is just Rs.20 or Rs. 40 depending on the city. Rate per minute and kilometer are also cheaper in UberGO compared to UberX. It is now available in all the 10 cities where Uber is operational, across India that includes, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. In terms of specifications, the Jolla tablet has a 7.89-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 330 ppi, powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor and runs on Jolla Sailfish OS 2.0.
