Infocus M2 4G with Snapdragon 400 SoC launched in India for Rs. 5499

Infocus launched its M2 smartphone in India back in March. Today the company has launched the Infocus M2 4G, the 4G variant of the smartphone with Snapdragon 400 SoC instead of MediaTek MT6582 in the 3G variant. Other specifications are similar, including a 4.2-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) 355PPI display, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 8-megapixel auto-focus front-facing camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash. It packs a 5.5-inch Quad HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) screen, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 64-bit SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel rear camera for quick auto focus and depth sensing. Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard goes on sale in the US for $99.95

Microsoft introduced a Foldable Bluetooth Keyboard at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona back in March. Today the company has announced that it is now available at the Microsoft Store and various other retailers in the US for $99.95. The universal keyboard has a sleek design and connects to Windows (8,8.1, 10), Windows Phone 8.1, iOS 7 or later and Android 4.3 or later using Bluetooth 4.0. You can switch between OS’s just by pressing the “OS” key.

It packs a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with ultra-narrow bezels and has full metal uni-body design, similar to the other A series smartphones and is just 5.9mm thick. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It has a fingerprint sensor on the home button. OnePlus One 16GB Unboxed units to go on sale next week on Overcart for Rs. 12999

Overcart sold OnePlus One 64GB refurbished units back in May for Rs. 16,999. Today it has announced that it will be selling unboxed units of 16GB Silk White OnePlus One next week for Rs. 12999. It will be covered under a six-month manufacturer warranty from OnePlus, said the company.  A new 16GB OnePlus One unit costs Rs. 18,998, but it is currently out of stock on Amazon.in and Flipkart.

Lava Iris X5 4G with 2GB RAM shows up in benchmarks, could be Android One smartphone

Lava Iris X5 4G has surfaced in GFXBench (via) benchmark listing. This is likely to be the upcoming Android One smartphone from Lava that was expected to launch today according to a ET report. Looks like the launch is not happening today and got postponed. Coming to the listing, it reveals 2GB RAM and a MediaTek SoC that coincides with the earlier report. Even though it shows it has a 4.6-inch display, it could feature a 5-inch display as reported earlier.

Today Samsung has sent out press invites for the launch of these smartphones India at an event on July 16th. The invite reads Samsung invites you to the Unveiling of the latest stars in the Galaxy series. The invite is present inside a smartphone, which matches the position of the front-facing camera and the LED flash on these new J series smartphones. SanDisk microSD card shipments exceed 2 billion in 10 years

SanDisk Corporation has announced it has shipped more than two billion microSD cards since it started commercial shipments 10 years back. SanDisk invented the microSD back in 2004, which was  initially known as TransFlash. The final specifications for the microSD format was released on July 13, 2005. The first microSD cards featured capacities starting at 32MB. SanDisk recently introduced a 200GB microSDXC card, a 6,250x increase in just 10 years. Xiaomi Mi 4i now available without registration via open sale in India

Xiaomi has announced that the Mi 4i smartphone will finally be available on open sale in India, months after selling it through flash sales every week. The smartphone was launched in the country back in April at a price tag of Rs. 12999. Xiaomi sold 40,000 units of Mi 4i smartphones in the first flash sale at the end of April.
