Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the 2015 Moto G (3rd gen) (XT1550) in India, a week after it announced the update for the smartphone. It started rolling out the update in U.S and Canada last month. Motorola rolled out Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year and the Moto X Play got the update earlier this week. Lenovo Vibe K4 Note receives over 2 lakh registrations, K4 Note VR Bundle registrations closed

Lenovo launched the most expected Vibe K4 Note smartphone in India earlier this Tuesday. On the same day it started registrations on Amazon for the standalone version at Rs. 11,999 and the Vibe K4 Note VR Bundle at Rs. 12,499. Lenovo has announced that the K4 Note has received over 2,00,000 Registrations in two days after the launch. Vodafone launches 4G LTE services in Mysore

Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Mysore (Mysuru), Karnataka after a month of launching its 4G services in Kerala. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. “It is built on a strong fibre back-haul, and is supported by new and superfast 3G services on a modern network of 2100 MHz,” said the company. Vodafone is offering free 4G upgrade to 4G with instant SIM swap through all Vodafone stores and select retail outlets in the city. HTC has launched the Desire 728 dual sim, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India. It was introduced in China back in September last year, packs a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with HTC’s own Sense UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual front-facing BoomSound speakers and Dolby Audio. Lenovo will be making the first consumer-ready Project Tango smartphone, Jeff Meredith, Vice President, Marketing, Lenovo Mobile Business Group and Johnny Lee, Technical Project Lead, Project Tango announced at an event at the CES 2016. Project Tango combines the camera, gyroscope, and accelerometer to estimate six degree of freedom motion tracking, providing you the ability to track 3D motion of a device while simultaneously creating a map of the environment. Polaroid, popular for its camera products has introduced Snap and Power, two new Android smartphones at the CES 2016. Both these smartphones run on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), which is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), 13-megapixel rear camera and have 4G LTE support. The Polaroid Snap comes in 5-inch, 5.5-inch and 6-inch HD screens and the Polaroid Power comes with a 6-inch 1080p display. These are designed and manufactured by Southern Telecom, an authorized Polaroid licensee.

Intel Compute Stick with Core M processors, 4K support announced

Intel has introduced two new Compute Stick models with Core M and Intel Atom x5 processors at the CES this year. The core m5 and core m3 versions have 4K support, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Intel Atom version has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. OnePlus introduced the OnePlus X in Onyx glass back and limited edition Ceramic variants back in October. The OnePlus X Onyx edition priced at Rs. 16,999 went on sale in India and several countries with an invite back in November. At the launch the company said that it will make only 10,000 units of the OnePlus X Ceramic version smartphone, now it has announced that the Limited Ceramic Edition OnePlus X will be available from French Connection (FCUK) stores in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad invite-free tomorrow.
