Google has updated the Google Now launcher with landscape support on phones, which is now back after it was tested in Marshmallow developer preview. You can enable the new feature by enabling the ‘Allow rotation’ option in the settings. Some on-screen elements like the persistent search bar will adjust to accommodate each layout and the items in the dock also rotate individually to stack along the right side of the screen. Xiaomi today announced the Redmi Note 3 Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi Note series in China. It is a high-end variant of the Redmi Note 3 that was introduced back in November. It packs the same 5.5-inch 1080p screen, comes with a metal body and has a fingerprint sensor on the back, but this is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 (Snapdragon 618 previously) processor and has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second. Flipkart has launched its shopping app for Windows 10 PCs and mobile devices, which promises richer, seamless experience across Windows 10 devices. Flipkart said that it has worked closely with the Microsoft team to develop the app for a universal Windows platform.

Samsung today announced that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor will use Samsung’s 2nd generation 14nm FinFET process. It also announced that it has started mass production of its latest chips, including the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC that uses its 14nm LPP (Low-Power Plus) process, the 2nd generation of the company’s 14nm FinFET process technology. Later it was expanded to India and 40 other countries. Now it has launched the app for Android.
