vivo has finally announced its X7 and X7 Plus smartphones in China, as it had promised. The X7 has a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display ultra-narrow bezels and the X7 Plus has a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 1.75mm ultra-narrow frame. Both these have a unibody metal design, 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture along with soft LED flash, 4GB of RAM and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button that can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. Airtel has launched its 2G and 3G mobile services in remote towns of Lumla, Nafra and Longding in Arunachal Pradesh under its network transformation program Project Leap. “This is also the first time that customers in these towns will have access to 3G mobile services,” said the company. Xiaomi has introduced the MIUI 8 globally at the Mi Max launch event in India, after it was introduced in China last month. Xiaomi said that MIUI has over 200 million active users worldwide. Lenovo introduced PHAB 2 Pro, the world’s first tango-enabled smartphone for consumers powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC at the Tech World 2016 earlier this month. LG has introduced VPInput, a new app for G4, G5 and V10 users that would let them access the smartphones from their PC. This requires the VPInput app on the phone and LG VPInput PC Program for Windows or Mac and uses Bluetooth to connect both. Unlike laptops, most of the desktop PCs don’t have Bluetooth support so you might need to get a Bluetooth dongle if you need to use this on your phone.
