HTC introduces new One M9+ with 21MP camera, Laser AF and OIS

HTC today introduced an upgraded One M9+ Aurora Edition smartphone with a better camera, along with the international version of the Butterfly 3, as expected. The One M9+ that was announced back in April and launched in India the same month has a 20.7MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 27.8mm lens and a secondary depth sensing camera, the new One M9+ Aurora Edition has a 21MP camera with 26.7mm lens, f/2.2 aperture and the secondary camera has been replaced by Laser Auto Focus for faster focus. It also has phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that further improves the camera’s focus and also includes Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

HTC today announced a variant of the HTV31 waterproof smartphone as Butterfly 3, as expected. As we already know, it has a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 SoC, has a 20-megapixel rear camera, secondary rear camera for depth information and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Note5 Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India earlier month for Rs. 53,900. We brought the review of the smartphone recently, here we have its benchmarks. The Galaxy Note5 is powered by an Octa-Core 14 nm Exynos 7420 SoC which has four larger ARM Cortex A57 CPUs clocked at 2.1GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.5GHz per core, similar to the Galaxy S6 edge+. It has Mali T760 MP8 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on the top. Videocon has launched Infinium Z51Q Star and Infinium Z51 Punch, the company’s latest budget 3G smartphones in the Infinium series. These pack a 5-inch FWVGA display, Android 4.4 (KitKat) and 1.2GHz quad-core SoCs. The Z51Q Star has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2000mAh battery, while the Z51 Punch comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3000mAh battery. Huawei Honor 5X (KIW-AL10), successor of last year’s Honor 4X has surfaced (Via) on AnTuTu and TENAA. Unlike the Honor 4X’s polycarbonate body, this has a metal unibody design and also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The smartphone managed to score 20916 points in the AnTuTu Benchmark. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Silent OS based on Android Lollipop. Google will introduce the LG-made Nexus 5X and Huawei-made Nexus 6P smartphones at an event in San Francisco in a few hours. Earlier rumors said that the LG Nexus 5X will start at $399, now a new report from Android Police says that the Nexus 5X will be priced from $379.99 (Rs. 25,250 approximately) onwards. Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, the company’s latest smartphones went on sale in 12 countries last Friday, September 25th. Today the Cupertino giant announced that it has sold record-breaking 13 million iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models in just three days after the launch. Last year’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models saw combined sales of 10 million units in three days after the launch. It went on sale in 12 countries – Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK and the US on September 25th. vivo Y15S, Y31 and Y27L launched in India, priced between Rs. 6000 and Rs. 12980

vivo Y27L, a 4G smartphone with slim metal body went on sale last week. Today the company has officially launched the smartphone, along vivo Y15S and vivo Y31 smartphones in the Y series. As we already know, the Y27L has a 4.7-inch HD screen and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC. The vivo Y15S has a 4.5-inch FWVGA and the vivo Y31 packs a 4.7-inch HD display. Both these have 3G connectivity.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note5 smartphone last month in India starting at Rs. 53,900. We recently brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its battery life test results. The Galaxy Note5 packs a 3000mAh built-in battery with support for both wired and wireless fast charging capabilities. This is slightly smaller than the Note 4’s 3220mAh removable battery. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, which might consume more battery. Check out the test results.

YU YUTOPIA with Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM reportedly launching in October

YU YUTOPIA will be the name of YU’s upcoming flagship smartphone, reveals an image of the box posted by BGR India. The box says The Most Powerful Phone Ever. The report also says that the smartphone will launch next month, just in time for Diwali in November, citing its sources. HTC One M9e with 5-inch 1080p display, metal body gets certified in China

HTC One M9e, a new variant in the M9 series has been certified in one TENAA (Via) in China. According to the images, the smartphone will come with a unibody metal design and a 5-inch 1080p display, similar to One M9. It is likely to come with a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Helio X10 SoC instead of Snadpragon 810 SoC on the M9, but it has 2GB of RAM compared to 3GB of RAM on the One M9 and the One M9+.
