According to a new report from Canalys, the Indian PC market (which includes desktops, notebooks and tablets) shipped a record number of devices during Q1 2022, growing 48% YoY. The market shipped a total of 5.8 million units during the quarter, and the top 5 companies were HP, Lenovo, Acer, Dell and Samsung.

The OnePlus 10 Pro first launched in China back in January 2022, and then later launched in India at the tail end of March 2022. The phone is the latest flagship from the company, featuring upgraded internals like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and of course the 2nd generation Hasselblad-tuned cameras. The Samsung Galaxy Note series is dead. Well, not quite. Officially, the Galaxy Note line-up ended with the Samsung Galaxy Note20, which launched in 2020. However, it looks like Samsung is continuing the legacy of the ‘Note’ under the name of ‘Ultra’, which is their newest flagship in the Galaxy S-series.

Yesterday, NVIDIA announced their new flagship 30-series GPU for desktops – the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, after the company teased it at the CES. It features 10,752 CUDA cores, 78 RT-TFLOPs, 24GB of GDDR6X memory, and more. Along with NVIDIA’s Founder’s edition cards, ASUS and Colorful have announced their own versions of the 3090 Ti.
Alienware, the gaming division of Dell, has announced the launch of the two new gaming laptops in India, namely the Alienware x15 R2 and Alienware x17 R2. These two laptops have been upgraded from last year, now featuring up to an Intel Core i9-11900HK CPU, and up to an NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti GPU.
Apple is reportedly reducing the quantity of production of their new iPhone SE models, as the company is facing reduced demand for it. With the world facing the threat of high-inflation and the ongoing Russian-Ukraine invasion, Apple has informed suppliers to produce a low number of iPhone SE units, iPhone 13 units, and AirPods for 2022.
Apple is expected to launch many hardware products in 2022, and rumoured among them is a new iPad Pro models. The updated models will reportedly feature Apple’s upcoming M2 SoC, which will be built on TSMC’s 4-nanometer process. It will also be the first iPad model to feature support for MagSafe charging.
