Apple iPhone 15 series may use under-display FaceID tech from Samsung

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 series has already been rumoured to feature a punch-hole design for its camera and FaceID technology. Its successor, the iPhone 15 series, however, will reportedly take it a step further and feature under-display FaceID technology instead. The technology, which is still under development, will be supplied by Samsung Display.

Qualcomm partners with Square Enix for Snapdragon Spaces

Qualcomm has announced a partnership with game developer Square Enix, where the two companies will work on new extended reality (XR) experiences through the Snapdragon Spaces XR Developer Platform. Along with this, Qualcomm also announced a $100 million “Snapdragon Metaverse Fund” to help companies and developers build the foundation of Qualcomm’s metaverse.

LG Gram 16 and Gram 17 laptops with 12th Gen Intel Core CPU, NVIDIA RTX 2050 GPU announced

LG has announced new variants of their LG Gram thin-and-light laptop, this time featuring 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU. There are two new models, the Gram 16 which weighs 1.28 kilograms and the Gram 17 with which weighs 1.43 kilograms. These come after the company introduced the Gram 360 last month.

Apple acknowledges Studio Display webcam issue; fix incoming

A little over a week ago, Apple launched their 27-inch Studio Display during their “Peek Performance” event. As the device began shipping to reviewers around the world, it was discovered to have poor webcam quality for some unknown reason. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor with 3D V-Cache priced at $449; New Ryzen Zen 2 and Zen 3 processors announced

Earlier this year, AMD unveiled the Ryzen 7 5800X3D desktop processor, which is their first processor to feature their 3D V-Cache technology. The processor is going on sale from April 20th, and along with it, AMD has introduced 6 new SKUs  that will join the ‘Zen 3’ and ‘Zen 2’ family of processors.

Google to begin testing an alpha-version of Steam on Chrome OS

Back in January 2020, Google revealed that they were working on bringing support for Steam to Chrome OS. After more than 2 years, Google will soon be testing an alpha-quality version of Steam on Chrome OS in the Dev channel. The test will be available only for select Chromebooks to begin with.

OPPO launched the Reno7 series last month, consisting of two smartphones – a Reno7 and a Reno7 Pro. They replace the Reno6 and Reno6 Pro smartphones from last year, respectively, and feature minor upgrades to the camera hardware and design. Similar to last year, the Reno7 Pro is priced at Rs. 39990, and the Reno7 is priced at Rs. 29990. On paper, the Reno7 offers a similar experience with some compromises when compared to the Reno7 Pro. ASUS has refreshed their entire lineup of mainstream gaming laptops in India, including the ROG Strix G15 and G17, Strix SCAR G15 and G17, and the TUF F15 and F17. They now feature either the 12th Gen Intel Core H-series processors or the latest AMD Ryzen 6000 Series Mobile Processors, and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU.
