Unicode Emoji 14.0 to feature 25 skin tone combinations for handshakes

Over the years, the Unicode Consortium, the organization behind Emojis, has steadily updated the list of emoji to ensure it remains inclusive and relevant to the times. For the first time, Emoji 14.0, which is slated to appear next year, will feature 25 skin tone combinations for handshakes.

Worldwide Tablet shipments grow 55.2% YoY, Chromebook shipments grow 357% YoY in Q1 2021

The Online mode of education has become the norm for many schools and education institutions around the world. As a result, the market for Tablets and Chromebooks have seen massive growth numbers in the past year alone. During Q1, 2021, the worldwide tablet shipments was recorded at 39.9 million units, which calculates to a growth of 55.2% YoY. The Chromebook market recorded a growth too, shipping 13 million units in Q1, 2021.

Microsoft Store reduces commission for PC games from 30% down to 12%

In a blog post, the Head of Xbox Game Studios, Matt Booty, has announced that the Microsoft Store will soon reduce their commission for in-store purchases to 12%. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti said to be announced on May 18th, go on-sale from May 26th

According to a rumour, NVIDIA is preparing to unveil the next card in the RTX 30-series, called the RTX 3080Ti. The card is reportedly aimed at competing against the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT, featuring 12GB of GDDR6X memory, and it will also have a mining restriction placed on-board that will hopefully discourage miners from buying the card.
