The handset is a comparatively lower end device compared to the Yureka launched earlier this year and in some ways complements it. The promise is quite enticing. This practically brings it full circle to the first effort that the company had made in the mobility space. In what can only be understood as miscommunication or perhaps a last minute licensing deal by LG, the company has sent word that the phone now officially supports the rapid charging standard. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology enables a 0% to 60% charge in under 30 minutes. BlackBerry Leap with 5 inch 720p display, 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor launched in India

Announced in March 2015, the BlackBerry Leap is making its way to India later this month. The handset combines mid range specifications, solid reliability of BlackBerry OS with it’s enterprise credentials and a low enough price to offer a gateway product for mid level executives. The core specifications make it sound like a not so modern handset but give the Leap a chance and it is greater than the sum of it’s parts. The BlackBerry Leap employs a compact 5 inch 720p display. It is powered by a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor and has 2GB of RAM onboard. An 8MP camera is placed at the rear while a 2MP camera can be used for video calling purposes.
