OPPO India has announced the launch of The Snap Circle, a nationwide college-level initiative aimed at supporting photography-focused students across India. The programme is aligned with the company’s “Make Your Moment” brand philosophy and focuses on combining technology with creative learning.
The Snap Circle
The Snap Circle is structured as a hands-on learning programme in which students participate in real-world photography assignments, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and work with OPPO’s flagship Find X Series smartphones, which feature the company’s advanced imaging systems.
Positioned as a long-term platform, the initiative seeks to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and the imaging industry. Alongside technical training, the programme aims to help participants build creative independence and practical experience in visual storytelling.
Selection process and participation
At each participating college, students will complete a registration and shortlisting process. Ten students will be selected based on creativity, technical understanding, and interest in photography.
The shortlisted students will receive Find X Series smartphones for a 10-day themed photography challenge. Final submissions will be reviewed by the OPPO camera team based on evaluation criteria including composition, lighting, colour balance, and subject focus.
Two participants will be selected as winners and will receive Find X smartphones. The remaining eight shortlisted students will receive participation certificates.
Snap Circle Community
All shortlisted participants will become members of the Snap Circle Community, a year-long programme that includes workshops, curated photo walks, product experience sessions, and continued mentorship from photography experts.
Rollout and expansion plans
The Snap Circle programme commenced at JECRC University in Jaipur. In 2026, OPPO plans to expand the initiative to universities across nine cities: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Bhubaneswar.

By providing students access to Find X Series smartphones for use in real-world scenarios, the initiative is positioned as a structured pathway for exploring modern mobile photography beyond classroom settings.
OPPO India stated that it will continue supporting platforms focused on skill development and creative learning to enable aspiring photographers to pursue independent visual storytelling.
Commenting on the occasion, Goldee Patnaik, Head of Communications, OPPO India said,
Our brand philosophy, Make Your Moment, reflects our belief that the youth should be able to express their authentic perspective with technology. With The Snap Circle, we are crafting a space where students can experiment fearlessly and discover their own visual voice through real-world photography with the Find X Series. By bringing together advanced imaging technology, mentorship, and a supportive community, we aim to inspire the new-age storytellers to transform everyday moments into meaningful narratives.
