vivo and National Geographic partner to showcase X300 Series’ capabilities

vivo has announced a collaboration with National Geographic Creative Works for a new photography and storytelling campaign titled ‘Go Into The Wild’. The initiative focuses on documenting wildlife and landscapes across India using the recently launched vivo X300 Series smartphones.

Documenting India’s Terrains

Building on previous editions of the project, this year’s initiative features a National Geographic Explorer alongside a curated group of photographers and content creators. The team traveled to various ecosystems across India—including forests, mountains, deserts, and coastal regions—to capture wildlife encounters and natural environments.

According to the announcement, the project aims to demonstrate how mobile photography technologies, specifically ultra-high-resolution imaging and stabilization, can be utilized to document nature. The resulting content is intended to highlight the depth and detail achievable with the new hardware.

vivo X300 Series

The campaign relies entirely on the new X300 Series, which comprises the vivo X300 and the vivo X300 Pro. Both devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and run on the new OriginOS 6. The series emphasizes professional-grade imaging through a continued partnership with ZEISS.

  • vivo X300: The standard model features a compact flagship design equipped with a 200MP ZEISS Main Camera. It incorporates the vivo Portrait Engine and an “AI Landscape Master” feature designed to enhance landscape photography.
  • vivo X300 Pro: The Pro model focuses on long-range photography, featuring a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera. Notably, it introduces a “Telephoto Bird Shots” feature—marketed as a first for India—and includes a ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender Kit, which allows for up to 8.5x optical zoom.
Campaign Rollout

The content captured during these expeditions will be released through various formats. The campaign includes a series of short films branded as “Shot on X300 series,” along with Out-Of-Home (OOH) displays, digital narratives, and immersive social media content.

The visual showcase is designed to encourage audiences to explore outdoor environments while demonstrating the optical capabilities of the X300 Series.

Regarding the collaboration, Geetaj Channana, Head of Corporate Strategy, vivo India, said:

At vivo, we aim to build technology that inspires people to create, explore, and connect more deeply with the world around them. The X300 Series carries this mission forward, blending our imaging expertise with advanced AI and optical innovation to capture moments with striking clarity and emotion. Through this collaboration, we aim to demonstrate what smartphone imaging can truly achieve. The X300 Series is engineered to perform across extreme environments—low light, vast landscapes, and fast-moving wildlife—and our partnership with National Geographic Creative Works brings these capabilities to life in the most authentic setting: the wild.

A National Geographic Spokesperson said:

Building on the success of our collaboration with vivo on Xplore the Xtreme, we are delighted to reunite for ‘Go Into the Wild’. Photography lies at the heart of our storytelling, and this collaboration allows us to continue celebrating the beauty and complexity of wildlife. By bringing together Nat Geo’s legacy of visual exploration with vivo’s shared passion for powerful imagery, we aim to inspire audiences with authentic moments from the natural world.
