HP has launched HP 8, a 7.85-inch tablet in the U.S. It has a 7.85-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) IPS multitouch display, powered by a quad-core Allwinner A31s  processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has WiFi, but lacks a SIM card slot, so you lose voice calling capabilities. Asus rumored to be working on two new Transformer tablets

Asus was the first company that introduced the concept of Android transformer tablet which a detachable dock. Asus was also the first company that came up with Asus PadFone concept. Despite being innovations of their own, both the series failed commercially. But Asus isn;t giving up. They have launched a lot of Transformer products till now and according to rumors from Italy, the company is working on two more models of Asus Transformer series.

LG G Pad 8.3 LTE coming to Verizon on March 6th

LG announced the G Pad 8.3 tablet back in September last year. It introduced the G Pad 8.3  Google Play Edition in December, that we reviewed recently. LG has released the G Pad 8.3 LTE exclusively on Verizon Wireless in the US. Except the LTE support via SIM card slot, other features are similar to the original LG G Pad 8.3. It has a 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels)  full HD display, quad-core 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Android Jelly Bean OS. Gartner Report : Worldwide Tablet sales up by 68% and Android continues to dominate

According to Gartner, the year 2013 was a pretty good year for tablets – a total of 195.4 million units were shipped during the year. The almost 200 million units is a 68% increase over the number of tablets shipped during 2012. The report also says that the sales of tablets was boosted by the low end smaller tablets and hence Android continues to dominate the tablet market. You can check out the numbers below.

Samsung unveiled the Gear Fit, the company’s first fitness band last week. The South Korean manufacturer was expected to unveil the Galaxy 4 series at the MWC 2014 last week, but it didn’t happen. Samsung Gear Fit micro site lists Galaxy Tab4 (10.1/8.0./7.0) in the Gear fit compatibility list, which confirms the existence of these upcoming tablets. HP Slate 7 Extreme Hands on

FoneArena is live from MWC 2014 at Barcelona and we have a lot of manufacturers showcasing their products. We are at HP’s booth where they have on display – HP Slate 7 Extreme. HP had announced the HP Slate 7 Extreme sometime in September. HP Slate 7 Extreme is just a rebranded version of the NVIDIA Tegra Note and comes with HP’s own Direct Stylus. The HP Slate 7 Extreme looks like a variant of the NVidia Tegra Note, but with HP branding.

HP adds two new Windows 8.1 tablets to its business tablets portfolio

HP is present at the Mobile World Congress 2014 event in Barcelona and has just announced a couple of Windows 8.1 tablets – HP ElitePad 1000 and HP ProPad 600. Both the tablets – HP ElitePad 1000 and HP ProPad 600 come with a 10.1inch WUXGA display.

NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 LTE announced, Xolo announced as partner once again

NVIDIA announced the Tegra Note, the company’s first Tegra 4 tablet last year. Today, NVIDIA has announced the LTE variant of the tablet powered by Icera i500 modem. Xolo has been announced as the hardware manufacturer for India once again. Other specifications are exactly similar to the non-LTE version including a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with support for NVIDIA DirectStylus technology and quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 CPU, but this runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Earlier today Samsung launched the Galaxy NotePRO, the company’s latest tablet with a huge 12.2-inch screen in India at a price tag of Rs. 64,900. We got some hands-on time with the tablet at the Samsung Forum 2014 in Bali, where is launched. It comes with a S Pen stylus that docks on the back of the tablet and has a Wacom Digitizer for pressure sensitive input, just like the previous Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. It has a 12.2-inch (2560×1600 pixels) WQXGA display, powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 5 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz UI on top.
