Sony’s first foldable smartphone with Nautilus design, 10x Zoom camera said to launch in Q4 2019 or early 2020

After HUAWEI Mate X and Samsung Galaxy Fold that have been delayed after the announcement earlier this year, Sony is said to be working on a competitor to these foldable devices. According to a new leak from Max J on Twitter, the company has started working on a prototype of its foldable smartphone/tablet with LG Display with nautilus ‘roll-up’ design, Snapdragon SM7250 SoC, 10x zoom camera and a 3220mAh.

Samsung SM-A908 and SM-A905 with Snapdragon 855, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner surfaces; could be Galaxy A90

Samsung launched the Galaxy A80 smartphone with Snapdragon 730G and a rotating camera couple of months back. The successor to this smartphone, probably the A90 was rumoured to be launched as a part of new R-series. But, according to new reports, Samsung is said to be working on smartphones with model number SM-A908 and SM-A905 and is most likely to be the Galaxy A90 under the A-series itself, instead of a new R-series.

Motorola One Pro with quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor surfaces

After CAD renders of a Motorola smartphone surfaced back in April, press renders of the Motorola One Pro, the company’s upcoming Android One smartphone has surfaced. This shows four cameras arranged in a square, a waterdrop notch screen and a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom. Next to the camera there is a dual-tone LED flash, and a small text that mentions 1.6μm quad pixel, so it should feature a 48-megapixel sensor. It also mentions Dual OIS. Other camera details haven’t been revealed yet.

Apple said to launch 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch iPhones with 5G, OLED display in 2020

A rumor from last year revealed that Apple will launch new iPhone models with 5G support in 2020. A recent report said that 3 OLED iPhones including a smaller 5.42-inch model will arrive next year. Now, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple will launch three iPhones that include models with 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch AMOLED displays and 5G support, as well as a low-end 6.1-inch OLED version with 4G LTE support in 2020. Update: Snapdragon 865 variants are said to come in two versions condenamed ‘Kona’ and ‘Huracan’, one with integrated X55 5G modem  and the other one without it. It is also said to support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage.

Soon after the Z5x, a new Vivo smartphone with V1913A/V1913T model number has been certified by TENAA in China. This reveals a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, 2GHz SoC, which could be Snapdragon 675, up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage, Android Pie, 16-megapixel primary rear camera, secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel camera for portait shots as well as 16-megapixel front camera.

Redmi smartphone with Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor said to be in the works

Samsung patents a smartphone with rollable display having expandable display area

Samsung patented a smartphone with foldable display back in 2017 and earlier this year, the company launched its foldable smartphone, Galaxy Fold. However, eventually, it was delayed citing display issues. Today, new reports have emerged that Samsung has patented a smartphone with a rollable display having an expandable display area. The patent was submitted on 28 November 2018 and was published on June 6, 2019.

Ahead of the official announcement on July 21st, HUAWEI Nova 5 Pro has surfaced in press shots on jd.com. This confirms quad rear cameras, waterdrop notch screen with minimal bezels and an in-display fingerpritn scanner. The phone will come in 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage versions in Forest Green, Purple, Black and Coral Orange colors.

HUAWEI’s own ‘Oak OS’ said to launch by September

Last month, Google announced that it has suspended some of its business operations with HUAWEI which includes a ban on using Google Services and Play Store. This has forced HUAWEI to develop its own operating system, and new reports suggest that the company’s new operating system will be called ‘Oak OS’ and it will likely to go official in August or September this year.
