ASUS Zenfone 6 Android 11 update starts rolling out

ASUS introduced the Zenfone 6 last year running Android 9.0 (Pie) with ZenUI 6. It got the Android 10 update by the end of the year. Now it has started receiving Android 11 stable update starting from Taiwan after beta testing that started back in September. Google removes Wide-angle astrophotography on Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G

One of the highlight features of the Pixel’s camera capabilities was its ability to click  astrophotography. With the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, Google offered the astrophotography on both the main and the wide-angle sensor, however they are now dropping support on the wide-angle sensor after many users complained about the quality.

Xiaomi Router AX6000 with Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, up to 6000Mbps wireless transmission speed announced

Along with Mi 11, Xiaomi also unveiled Mi AIoT Router AX6000, the company’s first top-end Wi-Fi 6 router after it introduced AX3600 model earlier this year. It supports up to 6000Mbps wireless transmission speed and 4×4 160MHz bandwidth. It is also the world’s first router supporting 4K QAM technology with higher data transmission density that increases network speed by 20%, says Xiaomi. LG to introduce QNED Mini LED TVs including 86-inch 8K QNED TV at CES 2021

Xiaomi Mi 11 with 6.81-inch Quad HD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888, 108MP triple rear cameras announced

Xiaomi just announced Mi 11, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in China as it had promised. It packs a 6.81-inch E4 AMOLED quad curved DotDisplay with peak brightness of 1,500 nits, 120Hz refresh rate and touch sampling rate of 480Hz and MEMC motion compensation. It has JNCD of 0.38 and uses its self-developed color calibration algorithm. The phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus that offers better scratch and drop resistance. MIUI 12.5 with faster UI, more super wallpapers, new privacy features and more announced

At the Mi 11 series launch event Xiaomi also introduced the MIUI 12.5, the next update after the MIUI 12 was introduced back in April this year.  MIUI 12.5 is faster and more economical, says Xiaomi. System UI is rewritten, so the memory usage is reduced by 20% and the background memory usage is less by an average of 35%, and the system application power consumption decreased by an average of 25%, adds Xiaomi. Apple self-driving car predicted to arrive only in 2025-2027

A few days ago, there were rumours of Apple planning to release their first ever self-driving car sometime in 2024. A new report from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo now claims that these plans have been pushed back a few years and that Apple will probably only release a car in 2025-2027 at the earliest.

Xiaomi confirms Mi 11 will not come with charger in the box

After rumours Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun today confirmed that the Mi 11 that will be introduced next week will not include a charger in the box, so it will only come with a USB Type-C charging cable along with the phone. This move is to protect the environment, said the CEO. Since the box doesn’t include a charger the thickness of the box is less.
