Aakash tablet online bookings reach 14 lakh in 2 weeks, UbiSlate 7 sold out till February


Bookings for the Aakash tablet has reached 14 lakh in just 2 weeks after the bookings opened last month, according a report from Economic Times. The UbiSlate 7 (upgraded Aakash tablet) has been renamed to UbiSlate 7+ recently. The UbiSlate 7+ (Aakash2 tablet) is also sold out on their official site till February, however you can book it for March. Spice Mi-280 Dual SIM Android phone launched in India for Rs. 5123

Spice has launched another Dual SIM Android phone, Spice Mi-280 in India. This has 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen, 3.2MP camera and VGA front camera. It is powered by 600MHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It also comes with 5-way key and touch navigation button. It is the successor of Spice Mi-270, Dual SIM Android phone that was launched last year. They also launched another Dual SIM Android phone, Mi-350n recently. Spice Mi-350n – Dual SIM Android phone

Spice has unveiled another Dual SIM Android phone, Spice Mi-350n which is the successor of the Mi-350. This comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen display, 3.2MP auto focus camera and VGA secondary camera. It is powered by 650 MHz processor and runs on Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) and is a direct competitor to the recently launched Micromax A75 Dual SIM Android Phone with similar specs, but A75 has larger display. BlackBerry Playbook has been sold out in the retail outlets in India within days after the price drop, according to a report from Times of India. RIM announced a temporary price cut on the BlackBerry Playbook last week that starts from Rs.13,490 in India. HTCdev bootloader unlocking tool updated to support phones launched after September 2011

HTC has announced that the latest HTC devices launched after September 2011 are now unlockable with the updated bootloader unlocking tool. They announced that they would offer an option to unlock the boot loader and launched the unlocking tool earlier this August starting with the HTC Sensation and have added more devices to the list since then. They also launched the HTCdev site with OpenSense S3D and Pen SDK along with the web tool for unlocking the boot loaders. Samsung Galaxy Note shipments exceed 1 million

Samsung has announced that they have shipped over 1 million units of the Galaxy Note globally since the launch in October this year, after the announcement on September in IFA. They have also said that the shipments are strong in the European countries such as France, Germany and are increasing steadily in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Note remains one of the top favorite phones among people. Nokia 603 now available in India for Rs.14285


Nokia 603 is now available for purchase in India from online retailer LetsBuy in India. Nokia announced this Symbian Belle smartphone this October. This penta band device comes with 3.5-inch (360×640 Pixels) TFT Clear Black Display panel and is powered by a 1Ghz processor. It also comes with 5 MP full focus camera with 720p HD video recording at 30 fps. It is 12.7mm thick and weighs 109.6g and comes with  interchangeable  covers. LG PRADA 3.0 now available in Korea, hitting Europe in January


LG unveiled the PRADA 3.0, their 3rd generation PRADA phone  in collaboration with LG earlier this month. The PRADA 3.0 is also the first PRADA phone to run on Android. The phone is now available for Korean customers. It features 4.3 inch  (800 x 480 pixels) NOVA Plus display with 800-nit brightness. It is powered by 1.0 GHz Dual core processor with Dual Channel architecture and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) that is up-gradable to Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich. NTT Docomo to develop mobile phone chips with Samsung, Panasonic and others

Japan’s largest telecom operator NTT Docomo has announced that they have made an agreement with five companies, Fujitsu, Fujitsu Semiconductor, NEC Corporation, Panasonic Mobile Communications and Samsung Electronics to create a joint venture company by the end of March 2012 that would develop and sell semiconductor products for mobile devices.
