Celkon has launched three new smartphones, Campus A10, Signature Swift A112 and the Monalisa 5. The Campus A10 is an entry-level 3G smartphone with dual SIM support will compete with the Lava Iris 356. It has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) display and the Signature Swift A112 has a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display. These two devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Celkon Monalisa 5 in the new Monalisa series has a 4.5-inch qHD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Unlocked Apple iPhone 5C prices starting from $549, iPhone 5 discontinued and iPhone 4S now $450

That’s right. C definitely doesn’t stand for cheap. The unsubsidized unlocked prices for the iPhone 5C have been revealed. The 16 GB version will be available for 549$ and the 32 GB version will be available for 649$. Let me do the direct conversion for you, the Indian National Rupee prices will likely be – Rs. 35,500/- for the 16 GB version and Rs. 42,000/- for the 32 GB version, rounding off to the nearest values without taxes and import duties. That seals the rumour that a low cost iPhone is on the way. It never was and is going to be the plan for Apple as they would never want to lose the insanely high ASPs that they are getting with the current iPhones.

Apple iPhone 5S announced with A7 processor, Fingerprint sensor and an updated camera

Just after unveiling the all colourful iPhone 5C, Apple has now moved on to release the iPhone 5S, the next iteration for their flagship iPhone products. Again, the leaks were spot on, with the new home button having a biometrics finger print sensor, but there are also other interesting additions. One is the gold colour variant(Gold, Slate and Silver are the three new colours), which again, was perfectly accurate from the leaks and the other is the new Apple A7 and M7 chips. Apple iPhone 5C is official, Brings new design with iPhone 5 internals

Apple has just announced the iPhone 5C at an event at its campus. The device will be replacing the iPhone 5 and will be priced lower to reach out to a larger audience. The phone will be available in a range of colors including green, yellow, blue, white and red. Made of hard coated polycarbonate, it uses a new construction method that has a reinforced steel structure.

The specifications include 4 inch retina display with integrated touch and full sRGB spectrum support. Powering it will be an A6 processor. The camera is an 8MP iSight unit with BSI, hybrid IR filter and a 5 element lens. The front camera is now better with a 1.9 micron pixel size, BSI. The iPhone 5C will have support for dual band WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE as well. The phone will be available for $99 for the 16GB version and $199 for the 32GB version on a two year contract. Apple also plans to introduce a range of new cases that looks very snazzy at a price point of $29 each.

Apple just revealed that the much awaited and critiqued iOS 7 update will be coming over to most Apple devices, but it will reach the iPhone 4S and the 5 on September 18th. The iOS 7 update includes the much awaited user interface overhaul and some extra features like AirDrop and brand new multitasking.

Apple is expected to unveil the company’s latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5S and a cheaper iPhone 5C at an event in Apple’s HQ in Cupertino. Apple sent out the press invites for today’s event last week and China Telecom confirmed it recently. There were rumors about Apple adding biometric fingerprint sensor on the new iPhone’s home button. Nokia announced the 208, affordable feature phone along with the 207 back in July, now the phone is available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display with a physical T-9 keypad 3.5G and has 3G connectivity. It runs on  Nokia Series 40 OS and comes pre-loaded with Facebook and Twitter and WhatsApp. It is 12.8mm thick and weighs 90.6 grams. Samsung has announced that the company’s Exynos 5 Octa chip would get Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) that would let each CPU to be switched on or off as needed and also enables the use of all physical cores at the same time. This would offer  high-performance and low-power to carry out tasks such as 3D gaming, complex augmented reality and advanced web browsing, says Samsung. MediaTek announced the new MT8135 quad-core chip and True Octa-Core solution with ARM big.LITTLE architecture, which also uses a similar Heterogeneous Multi-Processing technique to use all the core at the same time. Microsoft has finally released the Xbox Music app for Android and iOS devices. This lets you enjoy your favorite music from a collection of over 30 million tracks, discover new songs, albums, and artists right from your smartphone. Microsoft has promised that they would bring offline mode to Android and iOS in the coming months. Microsoft has also launched free streaming to Web player and Radio with unlimited dynamic playlist would be available for Android, iOS and the web player later this year.
