Facebook released Room, an anonymous chat app for iPhone last month in the US, UK and few other English speaking countries. The app developed by Facebook Creative Labs team is now available for users in India. It has also been updated with support for three new languages – Spanish, French and German. The app lets you create rooms for the things you’re into, and invite others. Xolo has reduced the price of five smartphones – Q1010i, Opus HD, Q700s Plus, Q500s IPS and A500s Lite. The Xolo Q1010i was launched back in April for Rs. 13499. Now the smartphone is available for Rs. 9,999. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 8-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 micron pixel size and a 5-element lens. Xolo has announced Q710s, the company’s latest smartphone in the Q CORE series. It has the same 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor, 1GB of RAM, Dual SIM support and a 8-megapixel rear camera, similar to the Xolo Q700S that was launched earlier this year, but the Q710s comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display instead of FWVGA display on the Q700S and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat). It is compact, weighs 156 grams and fits easily even in your shirt pocket, says Xiaomi. It has the same brushed aluminium finish on the outside, similar to the other Mi Power banks and is designed by Texas Instruments. It has 9 circuit protection and offers enhanced charge-discharge efficiency. Xiaomi promises 93% charging conversion rate for the power bank.

Gionee has launched Elife S5.1 in India. It is the company’s thinnest smartphone that is just 5.1mm thin and has a magnesium alloy frame. It has a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and screen-to-body ratio of 74% since it has a narrow frame of just 1.8mm.
