HTC is all set to launch Desire 626, a new smartphone in the Desire 600 series. Press images and complete specifications of the smartphone have been leaked by @upleaks. According to the leak, the smartphone would come with a 5-inch HD display and would run on Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC Sense UI on top. It would get Android 5.0 update later, says the leakster. Micromax’s YU has announced that it sold 15,000 units of Yureka smartphones in just 4 seconds in its second flash sale on Amazon.in. In the first sale 10,000 units sold out in 3 seconds. The website did not crash after the sale opened, like the first sale. Some managed to order the smartphone, but most users couldn’t get the smartphone and were added to the waitlist, which didn’t open up. YotaPhone with dual displays was launched in India on Flipkart back in October at a price tag of Rs. 23,499. It has got a huge price cut to Rs. 17,999 in one month after the release. Now the smartphone has received price cut of Rs. 5,000 and is available for Rs. 12,999 from Flipkart. The YotaPhone has a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD multi-touch main screen and a 4.3-inch (360×640 pixels) E-Ink rear screen. LG unveiled the G Flex 2 smartphone, the second phone in the G Flex series at the CES earlier this month. It went on pre-order in Germany last week, today LG has announced that the G Flex 2 would launch in Korea on January 30th. The G Flex 2 has a 5.5-inch 1080p curved P-OLED display that can bend ranging from a radius of 400mm to 700mm across the front, back, sides and top-to-bottom edges. LibreOffice, a community-driven software that is available for desktop is now available in the form of LibreOffice Viewer Beta for Android. Created by Collabora engineers, this is a Open Source app for smartphones and tablets that lets you view documents, spreadsheets, and basic presentations in Open Document and Microsoft Office formats. 15,000 YU YUREKA units to be available in second round of sale today

Micromax’s YU plans to sell 15,000 units of YUREKA smartphones on its second flash sale today, January 22nd at 2PM on Amazon.in The company received over three lakh registrations for the first sale, and it sold 10,000 units in just 3 seconds. It did not reveal the number of people registered for the second sale. In the second round of YUREKA sale today, the consumers who had registered to buy YUREKA before 13th January, will remain pre-registered and can take part in the sale just the same as last time, said the company. Whatsapp comes to PC via the browser, no support for the iPhone app yet

Whatsapp, the world’s most popular instant messaging platform, now comes to the PC, via the web browser route. The web client, which currently works only on Google’s Chrome, will let you chat with your friends right from the comforts of a browser, a long standing request finally fulfilled by the company. The functionality currently works on the updated version of Whatsapp on Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry devices, while iPhones are not getting the feature due to “platform limitations”, according to Whatsapp chief Jan Koum.
