Huawei just announced the MediaPad X2, the company’s latest phablet and the successor of last year’s MediaPad X1 at the Mobile World Congress 2015. It has the same 7-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display, but this is powered by a 2.0 GHz Kirin 930 64 bit octa-core processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 3.0 on top. Huawei just announced Huawei Watch, the company’s first Android Wear smartwatch at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It has a 1.4-inch (400 x 400 pixels) circular AMOLED display with 10,000:1 high contrast ratio offering a fully circular 42mm diameter design, scratch-proof sapphire crystal lens and has cold-forged stainless steel frame. It has built-in heart rate monitor, 6-Axis motion sensors, heart rate monitor and has over 40 watch faces.

Acer has announced Liquid Z220 and Liquid Z520, two new budget Android smartphones in the Z series ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona. The Liquid Z220 is the company’s first budget smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has a 4-inch WVGA display, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with 89-degree wide-angle lens. The Liquid Z520 has a 5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core quad processor and comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera. Both these smartphones have a 2-megapixel front facing and dual SIM support.

It has a 5-inch HD IPS display based on Zero Air Gap technology with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), similar to the Liquid Jade, but this is powered by a faster 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 with 4G LTE support and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Motorola India recently partnered with Airtel to offer free data for Moto E, Moto G (2nd Gen) and Moto X (2nd Gen) users. Airtel pre-paid users get free data for two months, while post-paid users get bill discounts per month for 2 months on subscription of 3G and 2G data packs. This offer is available for both existing and new Motorola smartphone users, but it can be activated only once on an IMEI. Huawei’s Android Wear smartwatch surfaces ahead of MWC announcement

Huawei already confirmed that it will be introducing its first Android Wear smartwatch at the MWC this year. It has been teasing the smartwatch on its social channels, now the first images of the smartwatch have been spotted at the Barcelona Airport by TechHive and Android Central. It will be called Huawei Watch and looks exactly like an analog watch in its design.

BlackBerry launched the BlackBerry Classic smartphone with full QWERTY physical keyboard back in December last year. Uber slashes fares by up to 40% across India

Uber has slashed fares for the low-cost uberX and its cheapest uberGO service across India. uberBLACK has also received a price cut in some cities. Some cities get 25% price cut and some get 30%, 35% and even 40% price cut. Base fare is somewhat the same in most cities, but cos per kilometer has been reduced drastically.
