Kingston has launched two new memory products for smartphones. The DataTraveler microDuo 3.0 is a USB OTG drive for Android smartphones and tablet. Asus announced the Zenfone range in January this year that included the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6. We got our hands on the Zenfone 5 prior to its official release this week. Check out the hands on and unboxing video along with benchmarks of the device. The phone which has a 5inch HD display and is powered by Intel Atom Z2580 Chip clocked at 2GHz. The memory storage includes 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage options. The Asus ZenFone 5 runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean and will get the Android 4.4 KitKat update very soon.
Xiaomi made its name in the global scene from its home market, China. The company, initially making its own custom ROMs (MIUI) for Android devices, entered the highly competitive world of hardware with its Mi range of smartphones. After a few iterations, the company unveiled Mi3, Xiaomi’s latest flagship device, packing top end specifications, but at a very low price unmatched by the competition. This is all thanks to Xiaomi’s business model where it sells to its consumers directly, without the overhead of a distribution channel on the price. After hiring Android VP Hugo Barra, the company recently took its operations to other countries like Singapore and Malaysia, where it saw success, and is finally here in India, where its flagship Mi3 will go on sale the 15th of July, at a shockingly low price of Rs. 14,999 (Update: Now Rs. 13,999) Even just by looking at the on-paper specifications, one can say it is already worth it. Micromax launched the Canvas Turbo Mini A200 with quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor earlier this year, now the press image of the Micromax A190 has been leaked by @MMXNewscaster along with the specifications. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a 1.5 GHz hexa-core MediaTek MT6591 processor. Karbonn was the first company to launch its Titanium Hexa with this processor and the Xolo Play 6X-1000 that was unveiled last week is also powered by the same MT6591 processor.

Spice Retail just launched the Spice Smart Pulse M-9010, the company’s first smartwatch with built-in Dual SIM support for phone functionality. It has a 1.5-inch touch screen display that would let you easily read and write SMS and also browse web. It can also be paired with Android smartphones to receive notifications, receive calls, view call logs, read and write SMS, remote camera capture and music streaming. Spice would also offer an Android APK for Android smartphones for Bluetooth notification. Xiaomi is known to be a success story in its native country ie China and we expected to see competitive pricing for its products here in India too. Color us surprised to see how low a price point Xiaomi has been able to hit with its Mi3. To launch at Rs. 14,999 the phone brings top of the line specifications.

Flipkart launched its first tablet Digiflip Pro XT 712 under its own brand last month. We brought you the unboxing of the tablet last week, here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. Unlike most other tablets powered by a MT6582 processor, this one has a MediaTek MT8382 SoC with 500 MHz Mali 400-MP2 GPU. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) multi touch IPS display. It packs 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
BlackBerry launched the BlackBerry Z3, its latest smartphone in the Z series in India at the end of June for Rs. 15,990. We already brought the photo gallery of the Z3 from the launch event ,couple of weeks back. Here we have the unboxing of the smartphone. The BlackBerry Z10, the company’s first full-touch BlackBerry 10 device had a 4.2-inch display, but the Z3 comes with a 5-inch display and a larger 2500 mAh battery that promises better battery life compared to the Z10. This lets you create portable hotspot and share your data with 6 devices simultaneously. It also has media sharing capabilities that enables users share documents, songs, videos and pictures and more over WiFi. This runs on MTS’ 3GPlus telecom network. Karbonn Opium N7 and Opium N9, two new smartphones in the new Opium series are available from online retailer HomeShop18. The Opium N7 has a 4-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Opium N9 comes with a 5-inch HD screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS.
