LG today started pre-bookings for its flagship G6 smartphone ahead of launch on April 21st. It also announced special offers including up to Rs. 7000 cash back. Now Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom has revealed that the G6 will launch at Rs. 51,990 (MOP) and will be available 29th April, before the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ go on sale on May 5th. Huawei’s Honor brand has launched Honor Bee 2, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India. It packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a quad-core processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, but it still runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. Samsung has finally started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge devices India, few months after rolling out the update for the S7 and S7 edge smartphones in the country. Even the Galaxy Note5 got the Nougat update recently. The update brings several UX and performance fixes, including improvements to notifications, multi-window mode and enhancements to the system upgrade and app installation process. Amazon today launched Fire TV Stick, its latest streaming device that plugs into an HDTV that lets you watch movies, TV shows, use apps and play games. It is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor and has 802.11ac dual-band WiFi. It also comes bundled with a voice remote that lets you search Amazon Video content using just your voice and offers spoken language support for Indian customers in Hindi and English. Samsung just launched its flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India, as it had promised. These phones were announced last month and pack a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Quad HD+ infinity screen, both with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and the back. These also have Iris scanner on the front, on the back there is a fingerprint sensor as well as heart rate monitor. TIMEX today launched IQ+ Move, an analog watch for men with support for activity tracking. This is the successor of Metropolitan+ that was launched in India last year. It uses Bluetooth technology to connect with Android and iOS phones through Timex Connected app and can track all day activity such as steps, distance, calories and sleep.
