Last week, Apple started assembling iPhones in India at its Wistron facility in Bengaluru as per WSJ report. The company now wants to expand its contract manufacturer’s facility in Bengaluru, according to Union minister of Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Paytm Payments bank has finally gone live in India making it the third payments bank in the country, after Airtel and India Post. The first physical branch of Paytm Payments Bank will go live in Noida today. Initially, the service will be available on an invite-only basis. In the first phase, Paytm Payments bank will roll out the beta version of the banking app for its employees and associates. Nubia launched nubia M2 Lite in India last week. Today the company has teased the launch of another smartphone in the country. Even through the teaser doesn’t reveal the name of the phone. The image has a caption Let there be Lite! and the image shows a similar front camera arrangement with selfie flash. It was announced back in February at the MWC, and the company already confirmed that the smartphone will launch in India soon. Apple was working on assembling iPhone in India and now the has confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that its manufacturing partners Winstron have completed a trial run of the first-ever iPhones assembled in India. The iPhone SE handsets assembled in India will begin shipping to customers some time this month, added the report.
