Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 Android One phone in India in partnership with Google back in September in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colors and the Rose Gold variant of the phone went on sale in the country last month. The company recently announced a Rs. 1000 permanent price cut for the phone recently. Today it has launched new Special Edition Red color variant in the country, after it was introduced in Philippines last week.

As the Indian government increased the import duty on mobile phones from 10% to 15% last week, Apple has officially increased the price of its iPhones, including its iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X smartphones that were launched recently. Back in July when GST was implemented, Apple cut iPhone prices by up to Rs. 6,600, iPad prices by up to Rs. 3,900 and Mac rates by up to Rs. 11,800 in the country. Indian Govt has raised the import tax on various electronic items including mobile phones, digital cameras, microwave ovens, and televisions with an aim to curb supplies from overseas and build up the domestic industry. As announced earlier this week, Apple started selling its top-end iMac Pro desktop PC from today in the U.S. starting at US$ 4,999 (Rs. 3,20,760 approx.). Apple India just announced that the iMac Pro will be available in India soon starting at a price of Rs. 4,15,000, but it did not announce the exact launch date. Acer today launched Predator 21 X, the company’s latest gaming notebook in India. It is the world’s first notebook to feature a curved screen and was introduced at the CES earlier this year. OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone at the Comic Con India in Bengaluru earlier this month, as promised it has launched the smartphone in the country at an event in Mumbai.
