After huge hype, OnePlus recently made its OnePlus 8 Series smartphones official in the Indian market starting at Rs. 41,999 and Rs. 54,999 respectively. The affordable variant among the 8 series — OnePlus 8 is focussed on those who want the latest set of hardware and fluid OxygenOS experience without having to spend so much. ASUS has announced the launch of their two FA series laptops in the TUF Gaming lineup in India, called the TUF A15 and the TUF A17. The laptops feature AMD Ryzen’s new 4000 series CPUs that are based on the Zen 2 architecture and both NVIDIA GeForce GTX and RTX GPU options.
While other markets are slowing down in India, the wearables market in India surged forward, recording an impressive 80.6% YoY growth in Q1 2020. Among the many wearables categories, the earwear categories grew the strongest with a 289.2% YoY growth.
Realme Smart TV that was launched in India last week went on sale for the first time today on Flipkart and realme.com. Now, the company is all set to add another product to the Smart TV lineup and has also shared the first sale figures of the Smart TVs. TRAI, the telecom regulator of India last week issued recommendations on ‘Ensuring Adequate Numbering Resources for Fixed Line and Mobile Services’. Some reported that TRAI has recommended 11-digit numbering scheme for mobile services. However, TRAI today clarified that it has not recommended 11-digit numbering scheme for mobile services and the country will continue to follow a 10-digit numbering. Update — June 1, 2020: Xiaomi today confirmed the launch of Mi Notebook in India on June 11th. The invite has “Make Epic Happen” tagline and the company says that this will make its global debut in India and will be India exclusive. It will be sold on Amazon.in.
