Ather just launched 450x smart electric scooter at an event in Delhi as it had promised. It comes with a range of 85 km with new 21700 battery, and one of the quickest accelerations of 6.5 seconds from 0-60 km/hr. It also has faster charging at 1.5km/ minute. The new model comes with built-in 4G and Wi-Fi support, thanks to Snapdragon 212 processor, compared to 3G in 450 and built-in Bluetooth as well as three new colors. During Q3 2019, India’s smartphone shipments reached 49 million units and subsequently during Q4 2019, Xiaomi and Samsung continued to lead the smartphone market in India. Now, according to a report from Counterpoint Research, India has surpassed the US to become the 2nd largest smartphone market in the world after reaching 158 million shipments in 2019.
Xiaomi’s Redmi brand recently unveiled Redmi-branded routers, power banks in China and while the company hasn’t launched those products here, it is likely to change soon. Today, in the 14the episode of #AskMadhav, the company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth has confirmed that realme smartphones will get VoWiFi or Wi-Fi Calling support via update starting from this month. realme X2 Pro will be the first phone to get the update next week. Other phones will get the update in February and March.
