Philips Xenium X806 Dual SIM Phone launching in India on Sep 7

Heard of Philips Mobile Phones ? They were available quite a while ago and we have not heard from them in a while now. The Xenium range of phones are popular in Europe and Russia for their exceptional battery life. Looks like the company is making a comeback into India or at least testing the waters again as we got an invited to a launch event happening on September 7th.Interestingly the invite comes from Conplex Telecom India. From the looks of the phone in the invite we are placing our bets on the Xenium X806 which is a Dual SIM phone with 1 month standby time and around 8 hours of talk time. Micromax is now 12th largest phone maker globally according to Strategy Analytics

Micromax which started off its operations in India is very popular for it’s Dual SIM phones and innovative ad campaigns. The company has been expanding globally and recently ventured into Brazil. The handset maker has a presence in Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri-Lanka, Maldives, UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Afghanistan. The company has achieved a 1% of the global handset market according to the Global Handset Vendor Marketshare report from research firm Strategy Analytics.

Estimated delivery time is 5 days . The MRP of this device is Rs.36200. Flipkart also promises a free sling bag along with the order.

MTS launches world’s first CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in India

MTS brings the world’s first CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network to India. Compared to EV-DO Rev.B Phase I, the Phase II technology offers high speed rate as high as 4.9 Mbps in single frequency carrier and 9.8 Mbps in two frequency carrier bundle. They have also launched MBlaze Ultra dongle that provides data download speeds of 9.8 Mbps. ZTE won the commercial contract from MTS earlier this May.
