Xiaomi Mi3 Camera Samples

Xiaomi is all set to enter India really soon, with a portfolio of devices to be sold using the online-only business model, but in anticipation, we had already gotten the Mi3, the company’s flagship device. Selling for a low price, the Xiaomi Mi3 hopes to offer what every other flagship offers, but at a fraction of the price, much like the recently launched One Plus One. The Mi3 has a nice minimalistic design and solid build, but also packs powerful internals including a Snapdragon 800 processor that drives a 5″ 1080p display and also powers the camera experience on the device. We are going to focus on the camera part in this post specifically, to show how it performs in different conditions. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 were announced last month and comes with a 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch Super AMOLED displays at WQXGA resolution with Adaptive Display for automatic adjustment, 90% of Adobe RGB color coverage for accurate color output, powered by Octa-Core Exynos (A15 1.9 GHz ＋ A7 1.3 GHz) processor and runs Android 4.4 (KitKat). Google bids adieu to Orkut, will shut it down on Sept 30

Google is finally pulling the plug on Orkut, its first effort in social network. The ten year old social network will shut down its operations on September 30 and existing users will be able to export their information using Google Takeout until September 2016. However, new users will not be able to create accounts.

Sony announced the Xperia Z2 Tablet, the company’s latest flagship tablet in the Z series at the MWC 2014 earlier this year. It is now available in India through online retailer Infibeam. It packs a 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, scratch-resistant glass with Anti fingerprint coating, powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on Android Android 4.4 (KitKat).

Swipe Konnect 5.0 Benchmarks

Swipe launched Konnect 5.0, the first smartphone in the Konnect series. We brought you unboxing of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with ARM Cortex A7 cores and Mali 400 GPU, seen on most smartphones from Indian companies recently. Samsung Galaxy K zoom launching in India soon exclusively on Amazon

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy K zoom at an event in Singapore back in April. Samsung is planning to launch the smartphone in India soon and it would go on sale exclusively on Amazon.in. Amazon is also running a social contest that ends July 13th. Hope we can expect the India launch sometime in July. This was first spotted by BGR.in. The Galaxy K zoom has a 20.7-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 4.4-44mm lens with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Xenon Flash. Aircel launches ‘Design your own plan’ service for prepaid and postpaid customers

Aircel has launched Design your own plan, a new online service that enables prepaid and postpaid subscriber create a plan of their choice. This enables users customize their plans across calling, texting and surfing using the Plan Designer tool. Customers can also redesign the plan or add extra packs for calling or SMS depending on their needs. Xolo Q600s was the company’s first smartphone running Android 4.4 out of the box. Xolo also released Q1011 and Q2000L recently running KitKat. Here’s why Android One is great for the budget smartphone market

One of the many significant announcements at the recent Google I/O developers conference was Android One. The program was formally unveiled with one central goal in mind, reaching the next 5 billion people in the world. These are the ones without a smartphone, mostly in emerging markets like India, China and so on. Google will be partnering with companies in the supply chain to provide a turnkey solution for many OEMs that are currently driving the budget smartphone segment in emerging markets. Android One involves a combination of affordable reference hardware, handpicked by Google, and stock Android software, with updates directly from Mountain View. The first three OEMs to sign up for this program are from India, which has familiar, but rather important, implications for the budget smartphone market.

The Canvas Gold has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 2 GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). LG F70 with LTE gets priced on official India website at Rs. 19500

LG F70 started rolling out globally globally in May, few months after if was announced at the MWC 2014. Not the smartphone has been listed on official LG India website with a price tag. It has a 4.5-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It is the company’s first mid-range smartphone with LTE support. It comes with tri-band LTE connectivity, including the 2300 MHz LTE (Band 40).

Samsung India has just sent out press invites for the launch of Galaxy Tab S series in India on July 1st. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 that were announced couple of weeks back comes with a 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch Super AMOLED displays at high WQXGA resolution, Android 4.4 (KitKat) and have Adaptive Display.
