Nokia 515, the company’s first feature phone with aluminium build is now available from official Nokia India Shop. It was announced back in August and has a 2.4-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) LCD display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection and has new hardened polycarbonate resin for the keymat  It has a 5-megapixel EDoF rear camera with LED flash and runs on Nokia’s Series 40 OS. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and has micro SIM cards. It has Bluetooth 3.0, but lacks WiFi connectivity. It packs a 1200 mAh battery. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) (SM-P601)  in India. It was announced at the IFA 2013 last month as an upgrade to the last year’s Note 10.1 that was launched in India as Galaxy Note 800. It packs a 10.1-inch (2560×1600 pixels) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.9 GHz quad-core Exynos 5 Octa processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a S Pen stylus with a lot of features such as S Note(Easy Chart), S Planner and Air Command: Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write, S Finder, Pen Window.

Celkon launched the A45 smartphone in the RahmanIshq series last month, now the company has launched the AR50, a new smartphones in the series.  It has a 5-inch display, powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It also comes pre-loaded with AR Rahman’s chartbusters and a special tune created for the Rahmanishq Music Smartphones, similar to the AR45. Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 OTA update starts rolling out in India

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) in India. The LTE variant of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) got the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update in Germany last week. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched back in April running on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It got the first update back in May the brought stability improvements, another update in June brought option to move apps to the SD card, new Smart Pause toggle and more.

Reliance launches new US International Roaming pack for post-paid customers

Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched International Roaming Pack – Awesome America for its post-paid GSM customers.Reliance says that the pack would save up to 98% on data usage and up to 76% on voice calls while travelling to America. The pack costs Rs. 849 and comes with a validity for 30 days. You pay Rs. 10 for 1 MB of data usage while roaming in the United States. Nokia has named October 20th as International Mobile Photography Day, and recommend mobile users to snap a photo  on the first International Mobile Photography Day that is dedicated to capturing all those once-in-a-lifetime, unexpected moments. Nokia launched the Lumia 1020 in India recently, which is the world’s first smartphone to feature a 41-megapixel camera sensor along with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Uber comes to Delhi

Uber, a technology company in the Silicon Valley of US, is expanding its cab rides service globally and the latest addition to their list of cities is India’s capital – New Delhi. Delhi will be Uber’s second city in India after Bangalore and they are expecting that it will be their biggest market in the country.Uber is available as an Android and iOS app. By using Uber, users can request a ride and they will be picked up within minutes. Intex launched the Aqua i4 and Aqua HD last month, now two new smartphones, Cloud X5 from the Cloud series and Aqua N2 in the Aqua series has surfaced on the official website. The Cloud X5 is the successor of the Cloud X4, but it lacks 3G support present in the Cloud X4. Other features are almost similar including a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor. The Intex Aqua N2 has a 4.0-inch (800 ×480 pixels) WVGA capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Advantage Computers India (Adcom) has launched new smartphones, A-350i and A-400i in the Adcom Thunder Smart Phone Series. The company launched  6 new smartphones, A-530 HD, A-500, A-450, A-430, A-400, A-350 in the Adcom Thunder Smart Phone Series back in May. The A-350i is an entry-level smartphone that has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The A400i has a 4-inch HVGA display and runs on Android 4.0 (ICS). Both these smartphones are powered by a 1 GHz processor and have dual SIM support with dual standby. Deepak Mehrotra, CEO of Micromax India has quit to join Pearson as the new Managing Director for its India business, reports The Hindu Business Line. Deepak joined Micromax back in December 2011 as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior joining Micromax he served as Operations Director for North, West and South regions at Bharti Airtel, where  he was also involved in the deployment of the MNP strategy and 3G rollout plan. The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7″ tablet got a price cut in India last month, now Amazon has reduced the price of the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ tablet as a part of limited period festive offer. It was announced last year and was launched in India back in June at a price of Rs. Rs. 21,999  and Rs. 25,999 for the 16GB and 32GB variants respectively . It has a 8.9-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) display with 254 ppi, powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core OMAP4470 CPU with 299 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU and  runs on a forked version of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
