Metis Learning launched Eddy G70, an Android-based learning tablet for kids in partnership with Intel for Rs. 9999. This is the successor of last year’s Eddy. The new tablet is based on Android 4.2.2 with an overlay of the proprietary Athena OS and has over 160 of the learning apps for Kids. Check out the unboxing below.

The tablet has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) multi-touch display which is scratch proof with a 9H hardness level, powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor processor, has 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with microSD slot and has 2MP front-facing camera.
It has 160 of the learning apps. These are selected by educators and experts that would help child child’s social, emotional and cognitive development. These are suitable for children between ages of 2 to 10. The tablet has parental controls, including time discipline, usage reports and kid-safe internet browsing.
It has a 2MP rear camera, 3G support via dongle,WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, mini HDMI out, USB OTG and a 2800 mAh battery. It doesn’t come with a bumper cover, but you can get one separately.
