Micromax has introduced two Windows Phone 8.1 OS devices, Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092. Among the two, Win W121 is more attractive. It is slimmer and has a leather-like finished back.

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that nationally operates its telecom services under the MTS brand has launched MTS Blaze 5.0, the company’s latest dual SIM (CDMA+GSM) smartphone in the Blaze series. It packs a 4.5 FWVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Micromax has entered into the Windows Phone market with Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121 in the Canvas Win series. The company partnered with Microsoft earlier this year to launch Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones. These are powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processors and run on Windows Phone 8.1. The Canvas Win W092, an affordable Windows Phone handset has a 4-inch WVGA IPS screen, a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Canvas Win W121 has a 5-inch HD display, a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has leather finish back panel. Lenovo launched the Lenovo A7-50 tablet in India earlier this month. Today the Lenovo A7-30 tablet is available in India through the official Lenovo online store. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Celkon has launched Campus A35K, the company’s latest budget smartphone and the cheapest smartphone running on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It has a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Last month Flipkart announced its annual priority subscription service, Flipkart First. Today, the Indian e-commerce giant has rolled out Scheduled Delivery service in selected cities. This will let Flipkart customers to choose a specific date and time for delivery of their orders.

Earlier this week Firefox announced its partnership with Spice and Intex to launch ultra low-cost Firefox OS smartphones. Recently Spice said that it would launch Firefox OS-powered smartphones with dual SIM support by July 2014. Now Intex has announced that it plans to launch Firefox OS device, Cloud FX in August. Lava Iris 350M, a new entry-level smartphone in the Iris series is now available from online retailer HomeShop18. The Iris 402e, another entry-level smartphone has appeared on the official website. The Iris 350M has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen and the Iris 402e comes with a 4-inch WVGA screen based on OGS technology. Both these are powered by 1GHz processor and run on Android 4.2. (Jelly Bean). It also comes with support for 20 Indian languages, similar to Unite 2, but this runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). Mozilla introduced a range of new Firefox OS devices at the MWC 2014 earlier this year and also announced a $25 reference design powered by a Spreadtrum processor. Oppo has launched the Find 7a along with the Find 7 in India. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD display at 403 PPI with Gorilla Glass 3, powered by a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad Core (MSM8974AB) processor and runs on ColorOS 1.2.0 based on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has the same 13-megapixel camera Sony IMX214 stacked sensor with 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture present on the Find 7 and uses software enhancements to capture images at 50-megapixel (8,160 x 6,120 pixels) resolution. The camera is also capable of shooting RAW images and has 4K video recording. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
