Samsung Omnia M Windows Phone with 4-inch AMOLED display and 1 GHz Processor announced

 

Samsung has announced the Omnia M, their latest handset to feature Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango). The phone has 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz processor and 5 MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash and a VGA video calling camera. This has larger display than the Omnia W that was launched last year but it doesn’t have impressive specs. Viber for BlackBerry and Windows Phone Beta now available, Voice calling coming soon

Viber launched VOIP (Voice Over IP) app for iPhone back in 2010 and for Android last year that we reviewed. Now they have launched Beta apps for BlackBerry and Windows Phone platforms. Samsung Focus 2 announced, coming to AT&T on May 20 for $49.99

Samsung has announced Focus 2 in the Focus family, followed by Focus, Focus S and Focus Flash. It is the 3rd Windows Phone smartphone on AT&T with 4G LTE support after Nokia Lumia 900 and HTC HTC Titan II. The Samsung Focus 2 has 4-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) Super AMOLED display,  5MP Auto focus camera with 720p HD video recording and a VGA front facing camera. The Lumia 610 was announced at the MWC 2012 and packs in 3.7-inch LCD Display and is powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor. Facebook for Windows Phone team has announced that the Facebook for Windows Phone version 2.5 update would bring new features including, Threaded messaging, Tagging, Delete posts and comments, Option to ‘like’ comments and more. Skype for Windows Phone out of Beta, now available for Download

Skype has finally arrived for the Windows Phone devices at the Windows Phone Marketplace. Skype launched the beta version of the app at the Mobile World Congress earlier this February.  The Skype app lets you make free audio and video calls to your Skype contacts over 3G and 4G or Wi-Fi. Nokia 610 to come with NFC reveals video

Nokia just revealed via a Youtube clip that the upcoming Windows Phone based handset, the Lumia 610 will include support for NFC. The information was leaked via a Youtube  video which has now been set to private mode.

Nokia confirms Lumia 900 connectivity bug, to offer $100 credit and a software update


Nokia has confirmed a software issue in the Lumia 900 that results in loss of data connectivity for the AT&T customers. Nokia says this is due to memory management issue that would be fixed by a software update and not due to a the phone hardware or the network. Dear Microsoft, Taking A Screenshot Shouldn’t Be A Privilege Nor A Struggle

I have had the Nokia Lumia 800 in my hands for a couple of weeks and been marveling at the Windows Phone Mango interface and usability. As a blogger, I want to share these with you, but you know what I discovered? You can’t take a screenshot on Windows Phone 7. Actually, you can, but you’ll need to go through so many hoops that you’ll want to kill yourself before the process is done. Here’s a rundown of my trials and tribulations over the past few days with the process, in hope of shedding a light on the sheer silliness of the situation.

Nokia Lumia 800C CDMA Windows Phone launched in China

China Telecom and Nokia has announced Nokia 800C, the first CDMA Windows Phone in China. Other features are similar to the Global version of the phone including  3.7″ AMOLED ClearBlack curved touchscreen display, 1.4 GHz processor, 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, HD video playback, 16GB of internal memory. Nokia Lumia 900 coming to AT&T on April 8 for $99.99


AT&T and Nokia has announced that Nokia Lumia 900 would be available exclusively in the U.S. from them on April 8 for $99.99. Nokia and AT&T  announced the Lumia 900 with AT&T’s 4G LTE support at CES 2012 in January. The Nokia Lumia 900 has 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm  Snapdragon S2 processor. It has 8 MP camera on the back with Nokia’s Carl Zeiss optics and a front-facing camera which was missing in the 800. It runs on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and has 1830 mAh battery.
