Just when everyone was thinking , Symbian has reached it’s end Nokia surprised us by launching 3 new Symbian phones running the newest version of Symbian – Belle and packing other interesting goodies such as a 1GHz Processor and NFC ( Near Field Communication ). We got our hands on the most affordable phone of the trio – the Nokia 600 which is also supposed to be the loudest smartphone from Nokia so far. Take a look at the pics below. Nokia 600 announced with new Belle OS

Nokia has announced Nokia 600 smartphone that runs on Belle and it claims that it is their loudest smartphone ever. The loudspeaker has audio output of 106 phon, similar to the one in their feature phone Nokia X1-01. This phone has NFC support, FM transmitter and FM receiver with the internal antenna, so that you don’t need headphones to listen to the radio. Nokia has launched a new app called Nokia Nearby in the Nokia Beta Labs. This app is local search app that lets you search for information about local places & listings like restaurants, movie theaters, and malls with their contact details, even if your phone doesn’t have GPS. Haven’t got the Symbian Anna update yet? Walk into a Nokia Care center and get it for free


Nokia has started rolling out Symbian Anna update yesterday, for Symbian^3 phones like Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01. You can now update your devices to Symbian Anna at your nearest Nokia Care Center or Nokia Priority Partner for free. Penguin Books India has launched their Penguin Books app for iPhone and Nokia phones. This app lets you view the list of latest Penguin books, bestsellers and upcoming books. There is also an Excerpts tab that lets you read the excerpt of some of the popular books. This is the first app of its kind offered by an Indian Publisher. Nokia Symbian Anna Update rolling out to N8, E7, C7 and C6-01

Nokia has announced that the much awaited Symbian Anna update is finally available for Symbian phones such as the N8, C7 , E7 and C6-01.  The update brings a new UI along with some improvements in messaging , maps and the browser. The update is available through Ovi Suite and as an Over The Air update.The Over the Air normally takes a bit longer to appear so you can try using Ovi Suite to check if your phone has received the update. The release also says that more than 10 Symbian phones will be launched in the next 12 months. The update is slowly rolling out to all countries . Have you updated your Nokia to Anna ? Let us know ! Nokia and Polar Mobile to launch over 300 mobile apps for Symbian , Meego and Windows Phone

Looks like Nokia is still supporting Meego and Symbian as it plans to launch over 300 apps for Symbian , Meego and Windows Phone devices over the next 12 months. The handset maker has entered into an agreement with mobile app developer Polar Mobile to launch apps for top media brands. The first 50 apps will be available on Nokia Ovi Store for Symbian phones.All these apps are expected to use the Qt framework which enables developers to reuse code across various mobile platforms. We want Mugen Batteries for our Nokia N8!

 

 

We here at Fone Arena are big fans of Mugen Power Batteries, this uprising company from the east, providing us power-hungry geeks with more juice for all our favourite devices, most notably batteries for smartphones. Over at the Mugen Website you will be able to find extended batteries for all types of smartphones, most of them even having two options offered. Normally Mugen would have one OEM-sized version, and a bigger battery, with imense power (for example an insane 4.800mAh battery for the Motorola Atrix!).
