HTC and Facebook has partnered for the HTC First, the first phone to feature Facebook Home, an Android Launcher with Cover feed that offers photos and updates from your newsfeed, Notifications, Chat Heads, App Launcher to launch Facebook apps and also comes pre-loaded with Instagram. The HTC First has a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It would run on 4G network in the U.S. with AT&T, France with Orange, and EE in the UK. Facebook Home brings the social network to your Android homescreen

Facebook today announced its brand new Android Launcher called Facebook Home which will serve as a gateway to the social network’s services. The launcher is meant to replace the default skin on your Android device and hooks in with Facebook centric services. Predictably, the focus here is on sharing and keeping a track of whatever your friends are up to.

Facebook just announced their Facebook Home Android product and only select HTC and Samsung devices will be getting it initially. The Samsung Galaxy S3 , Galaxy Note 2 and HTC OneX+ are existing devices which are supported.The HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 are new devices which will be compatible with the app. Facebook  put rumors about a Facebook phone or an forked Android OS with the launch of this app.

LG Optimus L3 II Dual (E435) and the Optimus L7 II Dual (P715) are now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. These phones were priced on the official LG India website yesterday. The LG Optimus L3 II Dual has a 3.2-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. The Optimus L7 II Dual has a 4.3-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. Both these run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and have dual SIM support with a dedicated SIM switch button. LG unveiled theOptimus L Series II devices at the MWC 2013 in February.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Trend 2 (SCH-I739) and the dual SIM variant, the Galaxy Trend 2 Duos (GT-S7572) in China along with the Galaxy Win. Samsung has also announced the Galaxy Grand Duos (GT-I9082)in China, that we reviewed recently. These look like souped up versions of the Galaxy S Duos. These have a 4.0-inch (480 x  800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). These have a 3-megapixel rear camera.

It lets you arrange your images in chronological order and displays them on your monthly calendar view along with all of your upcoming appointments and errands. This app would be much useful to view photos based on a date, since it arranges the images according to the date they were taken and displays them on your monthly calendar view, instead of searching for a picture in the default camera roll. Rovio has announced that Angry Birds Friends would be available soon for Android, iPhone and iPad. Angry Birds Friends was released on Facebook last year. It has new weekly tournaments that would let you win bronze, silver and gold crown on the levels, play new weekly levels and earn power-ups through tournament mode. There are also daily rewards and option to send and receive gifts of power-ups with your friends. You can also share details about your accomplishments with friends. Chrome for Android has been updated to version 26 that brings the password and autofill Sync that was available in the Chrome Beta for Android last month. The Password sync would let you sync passwords easily, and the auto fill option lets you fill out forms quickly on a small screen. The new experimental data compression feature from the beta version is also available for the this stable version of Chrome for Android. It has a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) TFT display, run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has a 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera.  It has dual SIM support with dual standby and dual SIM Always On feature. LG Optimus G Pro (L-04E) goes on sale in Japan

LG has announced that the LG Optimus G Pro (L-04E) is now on sale in Japan from NTT Docomo. It was announced earlier this year as the part of NTT Docomo’s Spring lineup in the docomo NEXT series. It packs a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Japanese variant is smaller than the International version that was unveiled in February. Twitter updates its mobile apps, Android version goes HOLO

Twitter, the world’s only realtime social network has updated its mobile apps today. It includes a major update for Android and minor updates for Twitter for iPhone and the mobile web app. The main improvement of the Android app is that it has finally went HOLO, the design language that Google has been preaching to third party devs since 4.0 ICS, with blessings from lead designer Matias Duarte. Minor improvements to all the apps is that they get improved cards support with deep linked app links inside the details page.

Samsung Galaxy Win  (GT-I8552) press images and specifications have surfaced on a Vietnamese retail site mainguyen. The features of the are slightly better than the Galaxy S2 Plus that went on sale in India recently. It is expected to come with a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen display and run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz UI and Nature UX. The site listing says that it would be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip with Adreno 203 GPU, but the Vietnamese site tinhte.vn speculates that it might feature a Snapdragon 200 processor.
