Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 1S in India along other devices. It packs a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8228) processor with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) based MIUI ROM. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 441 PPI, based one-glass solution (OGS) ultra-sensitive touch, powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM 8974AB) processor with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on MIUI v5 on top of Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS BSI sensor, 28mm lens with f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash and a 2-megapixel BSI front-facing camera with 30mm lens. Xiaomi is all set to launch its Mi devices in India today. The Xiaomi Mi3 is already confirmed and the 16GB version is priced at Rs. 14,999. It is also expected to launch the Redmi Note and the Redmi 1S at the even today. Yesterday Flipkart confirmed that it would be exclusively selling the Mi3 smartphone in India. Nvidia is working on a Android-based gaming console, according to a report from BBC. The un-named device will run on the company’s flagship Tegra K1 mobile chip that was announced in January this year.

A new app has been developed by transport body Delhi Integrated Multi-modal Transit Systems (DIMTS) lets commuters in Delhi hire an auto. Dubbed as PoochO , the Android app will enable users to locate autos, fitted with GPS, nearest to them. They will get the drivers contact information, which is registered with DIMTS and can call them to book a trip.

Google has updated Google Maps for iPhone and iPad with several features. The version 3.2 now has improved search results as they now come with descriptions. Google Maps for Android and iOS got updated with support to save maps for offline viewing, Uber integration and more back in May. Earlier this year these apps got faster route notification.

LG G3 is available for pre-order in India from online retailer Infibeam starting at Rs. 46,990 for the 16GB version. The 32GB variant of the smartphone is also available for pre-order at Rs. 49,990. According to the listing, these are expected to be the MOP of the smartphones and the MRP would be Rs. 49,990 and Rs. 54,990, respectively. It has a polycarbonate body instead of brushed aluminium finish on the One M8.
