LG just announced that it would start rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its flagship LG G3 smartphone this week starting from Poland. This would be followed by other key markets in future, said the Korean giant. Roll out details will be announced when it becomes available in local markets. HERE Maps for Android was launched as beta last month. The app has been updated to version 1.0.220 that brings support for Android 5.0 (Lollipop). This update also brings fixes to downloaded voice files that will not be cleared if the phone’s cache is wiped using a cleaner, as it promised. Sony had confirmed last month that Android 5.0 update is coming to the entire Xperia Z line. Now, the company is revealing that it has received the AOSP of the latest Android 5.0 from Google and has started the beta testing.

Google has updated Drive for iPhone and iPad with a couple of iO8 specific features. Users can now open files from Drive, and save back to Drive from other apps on your device if you’re using iOS 8.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Alpha smartphone in India back in September. We already brought you the review of the Galaxy Alpha, here we have the camera samples from the smartphone. The Galaxy Alpha has a 12-megapixel sensor, which is completely new. It has panorama shot & more, virtual tour, dual camera and beauty face camera options.
Samsung was one of the first consumer electronics giants to dive head-first into the world of wearables with its own line of Smartwatches, starting with the Gear. The original Gear that initially ran on Android, now runs on Tizen, and Samsung’s already iterated on it a couple of times, with the Gear 2, the Gear Fit, the new Gear S, all variations and experiments on the hot new market.
But then Android Wear happened, with Samsung announced as one of the partners. Rival LG had already announced its first Watch, but Samsung waited until IO to announce their first smartwatch that will work across all Android devices, not just Samsung ones, the Gear Live. The Gear Live, the stripped down Android variant of the Gear 2, joins the other Wear watches, in the effort to appeal to consumers willing to invest in a new category of devices. With Android Wear as the platform of choice, does the hardware push the boundaries, or does it play a safe losing game? Let’s find out.
The LG G Watch R has arrived on Google Play Store in the United States. Announced in August, the Android Wear smartwatch from LG is priced at $299 and will ship out in 1-2 days after the order is placed.

HTC launched the Desire 516c smartphone, the Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) variant of last year’s Desire 516 in India last month for Rs. 12,990. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 200 Processor with four ARM Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and has Adreno 302 GPU. But the CPU-Z and other benchmark apps show that it has a Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1GB RAM, 5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD screen and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS with Sense UI on top. Microsoft has unveiled free Office for iPhone and iPad allowing users to create and edit documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The company also released standalone Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps for the iPhone, along with a new preview of these apps for Android tablets.
Lenovo has not been a go to brand when it comes to high-end smartphones. Even though, Lenovo is the third biggest manufacturer in its homeland, the company hasn’t managed to make a name for itself in other global markets.
