Intel boasts its first LTE solution in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch was just announced yesterday along with the Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch version. One of the main takeaways from the announcement is the presence of an Intel chip inside the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch version. Intel was particularly proud of the fact and boasted about its first low power LTE implementation for the same, in its blog. Sporting a Intel Z2560 “CloverTrail+” chip, the device has connectivity powered by the Intel XMM7160 multi mode LTE modem in some markets.

Asus Padfone Infinity Unboxing

Asus announced the PadFone infinity which is the 3rd generation PadFone at MWC 2013 earlier this year in Barcelona. Now the handset has gone on sale in some markets such as Asus’s home market Taiwan. As you might be aware I am right now in Taipei for Computex 2013 and managed to get my hands on the Padfone Infinity which is currently on sale here for around 20990 Taiwanese dollars or Rs.40000 approx. Check out the unboxing video below featuring the HTC One and PadFone 2 as well. We managed to only get the phone part of the Padfone , the tablet part or the Padfone Station was not available.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z Benchmarks

Sony launched the Xperia Tablet Z, the company’s latest flagship tablet in India recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Xperia Tablet Z was originally announced in Japan earlier this year, and it was announced for global markets at the MWC 2013. It packs a a 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 ProAPQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). HTC Desire U Dual SIM smartphone now available in India for Rs. 13499

HTC Desire U that was announced earlier this year is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense UI similar to the Desire V was launched last year. It has dual SIM support with dual standby, a 5-megapixel auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash and Beats audio support. Toshibha unveils Excite Pure Android 4.2 tablet for 299$ alongside Pro and Write with 10 inch 2560×1600 displays and Tegra 4

Toshibha just unveiled its refreshed range of Excite tablets at Computex, Taiwan, consisting of three models – Excite Pure, Excite Pro and Excite Write. All the three 10.1 inch Android tablets are aimed at different price ranges and target consumers. These tablets are priced between 299$ and 599$ and Toshibha hopes to ship them out by June 25th, available directly from their website. Lets see the models in detail then.

Lemon Mobiles launched the Aspire A1, the company’s latest flagship Android smartphone last month. Now the Aspire HD and Aspire Full HD, the company’s upcoming Android smartphones have surfaced on the official website. The Aspire HD would come with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and the Aspire Full HD would have a 5.3-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display as the name suggests. These phones look identical to the Zopo ZP810 and the ZOPO ZP980 from the Chinese manufacturer Zopo. Sony Xperia M and M dual with 4-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

Sony has announced the Xperia M and M dual the company’s new mid-range Android smartphones. These phones have a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 processor with Adreno 305 GPU.  Xperia M dual comes with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), while the Xperia M would launch on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is upgradable to Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. These phones are based on OmniBalance design similar to the Xperia Z, have LED illuminations for notification and NFC connectivity for one-touch functions. The Xperia M dual comes with dual SIM support with dual Standby. Xolo X1000 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update coming this week

Xolo X1000 would get the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update this week, according to reports from NDTV Gadgets. Xolo launched the X1000, successor of the X900 back in March. Android Jelly Bean port for the Intel smartphones was ready back in September but the company released the phone running Android 4.0 at the launch. Xolo already promised at the launch that the phone would get the Jelly Bean update eventually.  The latest Xolo Smartphones, the Q700 and Q1000 powered by MediaTek chip comes with Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Celkon launched the A119Q Signature HD last month. It is the successor of the A119 Signature HD that was launched back in March. The Celkon A119 had a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU, the A119Q is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Gmail v4.5 for Android starts rolling out, brings Slide-out Navigation and new Inbox

Google has started rolling out the Gmail v4.5 update for Android. Google announced a new update for Gmail app for Android, iPhone and iPad last week. The new update brings new Inbox with tabs and categories such as Social, Promotions, Updates and Forums, slide-out navigation and lots more new features. Now there is a separate section for action confirmations in the settings. Now there is a pull to refresh option removing the refresh button and the compose and search buttons have moved to the top. It has 2G connectivity through a SIM card slot and supports voice calling. Twitter has finally launched the Vine Video sharing app for Android. The app was first launched for iPhone earlier this year. Vine let users upload a video clip up to 6 seconds directly from their mobile phone that loops automatically.It even got an update last month that brought option to use the front-facing camera to record videos and tagging function. ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 Photo Gallery

The ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 was launched just a while ago, at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan. The 7 inch tablet’s main USP is the price, which at 129$ for the base version is a steal. Coming in vibrant colours, the MeMO Pad has a 7 inch 1280×800 IPS screen with good viewing angles, unlike the ASUS Fonepad. Powered by a MediaTek quadcore MT8125 chip, the MeMO Pad runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean, which is currently the latest version of the popular software.
