LG unveiled the G Pro 2, the company’s latest phablet back in February ahead of MWC 2014 and it started rolling out in Asia starting from last month. Now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the G Pro 2 (LG D838) would be priced at Rs. 49,900 (MOP) in India and the MRP would be Rs. 51,500. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy K zoom, the company’s latest camera-centric smartphone with a 20.7-megapixel at an event in Singapore few hours back. We got some hands-on time with the camera phone. Even though it has 10x optical zoom like the S4 zoom, this has a new retracting lens technology to make the phone’s body slim at 20.2 mm (16.6mm at its thinnest). The Huawei Ascend G730 that was announced at the MWC 2014 earlier this year and the Ascend Y600 that was unveiled earlier this month have been priced in India on the official Huawei India website. The Ascend G730 has a 5.5-inch qHD screen and the Y600 comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display. Both these phones are powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI on top. Worldwide tablet shipment hit 57.6 million units in the first quarter of 2014, as per latest report from Strategy Analytics. The global tablet shipment saw 19 percent from 48.3 million in Q1 2013. As expected Android maintained the top spot and grabbed 65.8% of the global tablet market up from 53 percent a year ago.

Blackphone will feature Nvidia’s Tegra 4i chipset to handle application processing and the connectivity. Announced at the MWC 2014, the phone which is touted as the most secure phone. SGP, a joint venture of Silent Circle and Geeksphone have developed the Blackphone which went for pre order in February 24 costs $629 and will ship from June in US and Europe.
