HONOR has introduced the Magic9 series in China with three smartphones: HONOR Magic9, Magic9 Pro Max and Magic9 Super Edition. The Magic9 and Magic9 Pro Max feature ARRI co-branded camera systems, while the Magic9 Super Edition uses a separate camera system.
HONOR Magic9
The HONOR Magic9 features a dual 200MP ARRI co-branded camera system with the following setup:
- 200MP main, 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/1.9, CIPA 7.5 stabilization
- 200MP telephoto, 1/1.56-inch sensor, f/2.6, CIPA 7.5 stabilization
- 50MP ultra-wide, f/2.0
- 55MP front, 1/2.74-inch sensor, f/2.0, 1:1 square full-frame
The phone uses the 6nm HONOR Yuguang H1 imaging chip with 18.8 TOPS/W efficiency and lossless RAW-domain noise reduction. Its ARRI LogC3 pipeline supports all 87 official ARRI Look profiles and the ARRI LUT ecosystem, including ARRI Environment-5220 and ARRI Contrast-7120. ARRI Live Photo applies the profiles to three-second 4K clips in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio.
The camera also offers 200MP zoom-flash portrait mode, variable-focus flash and one-click AI colour matching with before-and-after grading comparison. The HONOR Telephoto Extender G200 weighs 88g and measures 81mm.
The Magic9 has a 6.37-inch OLED panel with 1236 × 2664 resolution, 1.07 billion colours, DCI-P3, a 95.6% screen ratio and 460ppi. It supports 60/90/120Hz refresh rates, 3840Hz PWM dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid and ZREAL, with 10,000 nits peak, 2,000 nits global and 1 nit minimum brightness.
For performance, the Magic9 uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and an 8,000mAh Qinghai Lake silicon-carbon battery with 25% silicon content. Charging supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, including compatibility with 300+ in-car 50W wireless charging models. It also has the third-generation C3 RF chip, seven-chip RF architecture, HONOR Hongyan AI Cloud Map and IP68/IP69/IP69K protection.

The 6nm Yuguang H1 chip provides 18.8 TOPS/W efficiency and lossless RAW-domain noise reduction. Its ARRI co-engineered workflow adds ARRI Image Science-enhanced sensor calibration, ARRI LogC3, 10-bit colour depth and ARRI Wide Gamut 3.
HONOR says the pipeline improves signal-to-noise ratio by 8dB and supports up to 14 stops of cinematic dynamic range. ARRI CINEMA Mode supports up to 4K 60fps, while the phone includes 14 preset ARRI Looks and the 87-look ARRI Look Library, along with Master Mode Venice and Minnan.
ARRI Live Photo, also referred to as Cinematic LiveVideo, records three-second 4K clips in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. The camera system supports 200MP array zoom-flash portraits, square photo/video framing and AI colour replication. The G200 extends the native 85mm focal length to 200mm equivalent, while the G500 reaches 500mm equivalent. The G200 weighs 88g and measures 81mm, while the SmallRig Professional Video Expansion Rig provides multiple mounting points.
For audio, the Pro Max has a four-microphone Cinematic Directional Microphone system with up to 20m directional pickup, 462% higher hardware-level noise reduction capability, 158% higher pickup sensitivity and an 84% narrower directional beam. It also has an 8cc acoustic chamber, 0.88mm speaker stroke, HONOR Sound AI spatial audio and dual SGS certifications.
The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Mobile Platform and an 8,800mAh battery with 1,000Wh/L energy density and 40% silicon-carbon anode composition. It supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, plus 50W wireless charging across 300+ car models.
The 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display offers 1320 × 2868 resolution, 1.07 billion colours, DCI-P3, a 95.33% screen ratio, 464ppi and 1–120Hz adaptive refresh. It reaches 10,000 nits peak, 6,000 nits at a 20% window, 2,000 nits global and 1 nit minimum brightness.
A 5,600-layer silicon nitride coating brings reflectivity down to 1.5%, while Diamond Giant Rhinoceros Glass provides stated improvements of up to 25× in drop resistance, 15× in scratch resistance and 3× in wear resistance. Other features include C3 RF, HONOR Hongyan AI Cloud Map, IP68/IP69/IP69K, 3D Face Recognition and 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Recognition.

The phone has a 6.81-inch OLED display with 1280 × 2788 resolution, 1.07 billion colours, DCI-P3, a 95.5% screen ratio, 60/90/120Hz refresh rates, 3840Hz PWM dimming, 10,000 nits peak and 2,000 nits global brightness.
The phone measures 161.78 × 76.72 × 8.10mm and weighs about 227g. Its 11,000mAh battery supports more than 20 hours of outdoor navigation, more than 7.5 hours of indoor gaming and more than 33 hours of video playback.
Cooling combines an active micro-fan, multi-layer nanoscale vapor chamber and 12W/(m·K) thermal gel, with the 30,000RPM Dongfeng Turbo Cooling system offering a stated 30% increase in cooling efficiency. It uses Snapdragon 8 Elite and also features C3 RF, HONOR Hongyan AI Cloud Map and IP68/IP69/IP69K protection.
