Huawei has finally announced the Ascend P7, the successor of last year’s Ascend P6 at an event in Paris, France. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD IPS touch-sensitive display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, powered by Huawei’s own 1.8 GHz quad-core processor with Mali-450 MP4 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Huawei own Emotion UI 2.3 on top. Unlockar Apps, a startup based in New Delhi has released its first app Unlockar, a lock screen for Android smartphone with uScreen. This is an intelligent lock screen that pays you in the form of rupees or uCoins every time you unlock the phone. Oppo has launched Oppo Joy, the company’s latest budget Android smartphone in India. It was announced last month and packs a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS sensitive touch screen with glove mode, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Color OS). It has a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It also has 3G connectivity and dual SIM support. Microsoft which recently renamed its cloud storage service as OneDrive has updated the Android app with several features. The latest 2.5 version of the app allows users to share files by inviting people, sending a link, or you can even send files to another app.
When Xolo introduced Q1010 in February, it was just another MediaTek powered smartphone in the mid-range category. To make it stand out from the crowd of the smartphones in the price range, Xolo equipped the Xolo Q1010 with a Sony EXMOR R sensor for its rear camera and released an slightly updated version as the Xolo Q1010i.
Xolo launched the original Q1010 in February with a regular 8MP camera that is used by most Chinese manufacturers and Indian importers. A couple of months later, in order to stand out from the crowd, Xolo launched an updated version of the Xolo Q1010 in the form of Xolo Q1010i with a Sony EXMOR R Sensor.

Last week Motorola scheduled two separate events in London and India on May 13th to unveil its affordable smartphone. According to a listing on Zauba, Indian import/export website, Moto E (XT-1022) has been imported from China to Bangalore few days back. This was first spotted by AndroidOS. Since the phone has already been imported, it is expected to go on sale soon, after it launches on May 13th. Xolo has released Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for the Q1000 Opus that was launched back in December last year running Android 4.2.2. This is the company’s first smartphone with a quad-core Broadcom chip in the Q CORE series and also its first smartphone to get the KitKat update. The company had released several minor updates for the phone since the launch. It released a minor update back in January to fix camera bugs.

Samsung is probably planning to launch a new series of premium tablets with the branding Galaxy Tab S. Samsung seems to be obsessed with the tablet market as it is not giving up anything on the market and with the new Galaxy Tab S series, it hopes to increase its number of tablet offerings.
Android KitKat is now present on 8.5% of all global active devices, according to the data released on the Android Developers Dashboard The latest version of Google’s Operating System increased its share by 3.2% over last month when it stood at 5.3%.
Xolo has announced the Q900T, the latest smartphone in the Q CORE series and the successor of the Xolo Q900. It has a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display at 312 ppi with 178-degree wide viewing angle and a 2.5 D Edge-to-edge curved glass on the front, similar to Xolo X1000 that was released last year and the rear panel too looks similar to X1000. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor that is clear from ‘T’ in the model number of the phone. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to most of the Xolo phones. Sony had announced the XPERIA Z2 back in February at MWC 2014 in Barcelona, Spain along with Samsung’s Galaxy S5. However due to certain production issues, the phone’s availability has been very scarce. It’s available in Singapore currently and it’s availability has been announced around Europe as well. Other countries worldwide are yet to receive the device so we thought we’ll bring you this unboxing.
