After several rumors Samsung has finally made the Samsung Galaxy W phablet official in Korea. It has a 7-inch (1280×720 pixels) TFT display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has Multi Window, S Planner , Pop up Play and also support Landscape mode in the homescreen. Google to reportedly debut Android TV with ‘Pano’ UI at I/O this month

We have heard rumors about Google working on an entertainment platform like Android TV for quite some time now. However, according to a new report from GigaOm, Google will introduce the Android TV at the I/O conference this month. The report claims that the new platform will be a revamped version of Google TV platform and will focus mainly on bringing online media content and Android gaming to televisions rather than concentrating on the ‘apps for TV’.

HP SlateBook 14-inch Android laptop goes official

HP has announced a 14 inch Android powered laptop that is dubbed as SlateBook PC. Priced at $399, the laptop has a 14-inch FHD (1080p) touchscreen display with NVIDIA Tegra 4 under the hood. It is 16 millimeters thick and weighs just around 3.75 pounds (1.7 kg). The SlateBook 14 laptop was first leaked online in April this year.

Gionee Elife S5.5 Unboxing

Back in February, just ahead of the Mobile World Congress, Gionee announced the Elife S5.5 which is currently the slimmest smartphone. The Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with a Full HD AMOLED display and is powered by MediaTek’s Octa-core SoC. It also comes with a 13MP camera module on the back. Oppo Find 7a Camera Samples

Oppo Find 7a is one of the successors of the popular Oppo Find 5. Oppo Find 7a comes with a 13MP rear camera that can record 4K videos thanks to the Snapdragon 801 SoC inside it. There is a also a 5MP front camera that was designed for video chatting, but is being used these days for “selfies”. The Oppo Find 5 too had a 13MP rear shooter and it was a very capable one. The Oppo Find 7a is arriving a year later than the Find 5 and lets check out how improved the camera on the Oppo Find 7a is.

As you can see above, the 4K video samples is full of colors and details. The Oppo Find 7a definitely has one of the best 13MP camera modules on a smartphone and the software algorithm seems to complement the camera performance.

Xolo has officially launched the Q600s, the company’s latest budget smartphone running on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It went on sale online earlier this week and packs a  4.5-inch qHD  display based on One Glass Solution (OGS), powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom processor and has 1GB of RAM. It has four ARM Cortex A7 cores, each clocked up to 1.5 GHz and has a quad-core ARM Mali-450 MP4 GPU. Acer has announced Liquid E600 and Liquid E700 smartphones in the E Series ahead of Computex 2014 and Liquid Z200 in the Z series along with other smartphones. The Liquid E600 has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8926) SoC and has 4G LTE Cat. 4 that would offer download speed of up to 150Mbps. The Liquid E700 has a 5-inch HD display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and comes with support for three SIM cards.  The Z200 is an entry-level smartphone with 4-inch WVGA screen and a dual-core processor. All these smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). We know one thing for sure – they are coming. Yeah! Smartwatches are coming as Apple seems to be prepping an iWatch while Google has already released a platform – Android Wear and its SDK for developers. Wearables are a huge category, but right now, in 2014, the concentration seems to be on smart watches. Oppo N1 mini, a smaller version of the company’s 2013 flagship, the Oppo N1 was teased by the company. It was expected to be unveiled today, but the company has just teased the smartphone and at the same time it has also revealed important specifications of the smartphone. It would come with the same 13-megapixel swivel camera with LED flash seen on the Oppo N1. The camera has a 1/3.2″ Sony sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The Oppo Find 7 had a new super zoom feature that combines four images to create a huge 50-megapixel image. The N1 mini has a similar mode that lets you create a 24-megapixel image.
