Micromax’s YU launched the YU YUREKA (AO5510), the first smartphone under YU brand last month for Rs. 8,999. We brought you the hands on, unboxing and the photo gallery recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.54 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.0 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU clocked at 550 MHz. It has 2GB DDR3 RAM, 5.5-inch HD screen and runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.

Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 get a price cut in India

Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 smartphone have received a price cut in India. The Zenfone 4 (A400CG) was launched in India for Rs. 5,999 last year and the Zenfone 5 was launched for Rs. 9,999 for 8GB and Rs. 12,999 for 16GB. There is no price cut for the Zenfone 4 (A450CG), which still retails Rs. 6,999.  The Zenfone series received Android 4.4 (KitKat) update last year. Check out the new pricing below. ZTE Grand S2 Benchmarks

ZTE launched the Grand S2 smartphone in India at a price tag of Rs. 13,999 last month. We bought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.15 GHz and has Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 450 MHz. It has a 5.5 inch 1080p display, has 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores.

Nokia N1 launches 28 Jan in China, pre-orders tomorrow

Nokia’s return to the hardware market looks set to become official later this month as the N1 tablet will begin shipping in China on January 28th. Pre-orders for the Nokia N1, which is manufactured by Foxconn and sold under the Nokia brand, will begin tomorrow and the N1 tablet will cost 1599 RMB (equivalent to around $258 or £170). K Touch has launched A20, one of the cheapest smartphones with 3G connectivity and Android 4.4 (Kitkat) in India. It has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Lenovo today announced two new Android tablets, Tab 2 A7-10 and Tab 2 A7-30 in the A-series. These Tab 2 series of tablets, successors of last year’s A7-30 have 7-inch (1024 x 600) IPS displays, are powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT8382M SoCs and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. Both these have 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage and pack a 3450mAh battery. The Tab 2 A7-30 also comes in 16GB variant. It has a 7.85-inch (768 x 1024 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 6.9 mm thick. Lenovo K3 is the company’s upcoming affordable LTE smartphone in India

Lenovo recently announced that it is planning to a launch a new 4G LTE smartphone in India with an affordable price tag. Today, we know that the upcoming model is nothing but the ‘K3’ which the company unveiled in its homeland a couple of weeks ago.

LG G Flex 2 exclusive to Vodafone UK, launches next month

Vodafone have announced they have secured a six-week exclusive on the LG G Flex 2 which was announced at CES 2015 yesterday in Las Vegas. The follow-up to the LG G Flex – which launched in November 2013 – brings improvements to the processor, OS, screen and camera and will go on sale in Korea at the end of this month before launching in the UK next month. Sony Xperia Z series Android 5.0 Lollipop roll out starting globally from Feb 2015

Soon after the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) announcement from Google, Sony Mobile confirmed that it will update the entire Xperia Z series of smartphones and tablets to Android Lollipop.
