HTC has announced the One E9+ for India. It went official last month and comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Sense UI on top. It has a 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an ultrapixel front-facing camera, similar to the One M9+ that was also launched in India earlier today at an event. It was announced in China earlier this month and packs a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen, is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI on top. It has a fingerprint sensor below the display for secure lock and payments. WhatsApp Messenger has finally be updated with the most expected Material Design language in the latest update (v2.12.38). There are no new features in this update, but the Material Design refresh brings bold, colorful UI throughout the app along with new animations, icons and more. OnePlus One has finally received the Cyanogen OS 12 update few days after it got approved by Google. This is based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) with material design elements.CM12 brings App Themer that lets you apply themes on a per application level. Apart from free themes that are already available, CM12 introduces paid themes using the Theme app. Themes can be purchased using your Google Play account. YU YUREKA’s upcoming major Cyanogen OS 12 update based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) has been submitted to Google for certification, said Rahul Sharma, Co-founder and CEO of YU. The company already promised Android Lollipop for the YUREKA smartphone during its launch last December. YU started beta testing its Cyanogen OS 12 ROM recently though it forum. It also plans to launch YU YUPHORIA smartphone based on Cyanogen OS 12 this quarter.
Sony has announced that It has started rolling out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update (v23.1.A.0.690) for Xperia Z3 Dual, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra smartphones.
