U.S operator Verizon today announced “Verizon Unlimited” that offers unlimited data, calling and texting (to Mexico and Canada) and up to 500 MB/day of 4G LTE roaming (in Mexico and Canada) at $80 per month for individual line or $45 per line for four lines with unlimited data, talk and text. Android Nougat update, DayDream support now rolling out for Moto Z Droid and Z Droid Force on Verizon

Asus ZenPad Z10 with 9.7-inch QXGA display, Snapdragon 650, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE announced

Asus has announced ZenPad Z10 (ZT500KL), the company’s latest tablet for US operator Verizon Wireless, which is a larger version of the ZenPad Z8 that was introduced back in June. It has a 9.7-inch QXGA display, is powered an hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ZenUI on top. Verizon to acquire Yahoo’s internet business for $4.83 billion

Verizon Communications and Yahoo today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Verizon will acquire Yahoo’s operating business for approximately $4.83 billion in cash. This excludes Yahoo’s cash, its shares in Alibaba Group Holdings and Yahoo Japan, Yahoo’s convertible notes, certain minority investments, and Yahoo’s non-core patents. Motorola DROID Turbo 2 with shatterproof display and DROID Maxx 2 announced

Motorola has announced the most expected DROID Turbo 2 smartphone along with the DROID Maxx 2. The DROID Turbo 2 is an enhanced version of the Moto X Style that packs a slightly smaller 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED 540 ppi display. It also has  Moto ShatterShield, the world’s first shatterproof display. Motorola says that the display is guaranteed not to crack or shatter for up to 4 years. It packs a Snapdragon 810 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 3760mAh battery, slightly bigger than the Moto X Style and has the same front and rear cameras. The DROID Maxx 2 is a variant of Moto X Play. Motorola and Verizon are all set to announce new DROID Phones – DROID Turbo 2 and DROID Maxx 2 on October 27th. Few features of both the phones have surfaced prior to the unveiling next week.

Motorola DROID Maxx 2 and DROID Turbo 2 might be headed to Verizon soon

Apparently Motorola is planning to launch not one but two new handsets on Verizon this year. They are expected to be the DROID Maxx 2 and the DROID Turbo 2. The former is expected to be a mid-range device that is said to be a rebranded version of the Moto X Play.
