Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Kharagpur in West Bengal, making it the second city in Bengal to have 4G services. Airtel 4G in Kharagpur will be offered using dual spectrum bands of 2300 MHz (TD LTE) and 1800 MHz (FD LTE). It is also one of the few cities in India to have an integrated dual band 4G network, which ensures higher network capacity for a better experience. Reliance Jio recently extended Jio Lyf Preview 90-day offer till August 31st for early buyers who had got unlimited data, calls and messages along with the Lyf phone in the month of May. Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) had launched 4G services for its employees in December last year. It is yet to begin commercial roll out of its service. RIL’s Chairman Mukesh Ambani in the annual report for 2015-16 said that Jio now has over 15 lakh trial users and their feedback is extremely encouraging.
