WhatsApp is finally available for the JioPhone that is powered by KaiOS. At the annual AGM back in July, Reliance Jio chairman said that YouTube, WhatsApp and an improved Facebook app will be available for JioPhone from 15th August. After a month’s delay, WhatsApp is now available. The app has been built specially for Jio KaiOS, a web based operating system designed for JioPhone, so that its users get the best experience.

Reliance Jio today reported Rs. ₹8,109 crore revenue, up 13.8 % QoQ and a net profit of 612 crore, up 19.9% QoQ for its fourth quarterly financial performance for the period that ended 30th June, 2018. Earlier this month at the annual AGM Reliance Jio chairman introduced JioPhone offer dubbed as “Monsoon Hungama” that allows feature phone users exchange their phone for a new JioPhone at an effective price of Rs. 501 instead of paying the full amount of Rs. 1500.
